Reporter the banks been closed since the incident but weve seen a number of people coming trying to get in not knowing this happened. Police say this was unprovoked by the 12yearold boy who thought he had been punched in the back, not stabbed. Police are working with this bank to obtain security video of the incident. The police say a 12yearold boy visiting his family from out of state was stabbed inside this bank on east 14th street this morning. I can only imagine what this boys going through, the shock and scare. Reporter a 32yearold woman stabbed the boy three times, the most severe wound is in his upper back near his neck. Police say the woman was either armed with a knife, a pair of scissors or both. The wound was deep and it will require surgery. Reporter police say the woman was initially demanding money from customers. She robbed one customer who was at the bank to make a cash deposit of a few hundred dollars. She got enraged and walked over to the boy who was sitting in the chair peaceful waiting for his Family Member to complete their meeting they had there at the bank when she stabbed him from behind. It was unprovoked. Reporter the bank had two unarmed guards inside. The boy is in stable at Childrens Hospital in oakland. Police say the woman who is now in custody may have also hurt herself. The woman is facing charges of assault with a Deadly Weapon but depending on the location and severity of the childs wound those charges could be upgraded to attempted murder. Abc 7 news. In fremont squatters may be responsible for a fire at a vacant house. Huge flames were shooting from the home. Squatters have taken over the home several years ago after it was abandoned. That house is a few doors down from the standoff of a man accused of shooting two Fremont Police officers. Investigators announced the suspect in that standoff shot and killed himself inside that home. One of the officers who was shot is in Critical Condition and the other officers condition is improving.
