last week this, is a photo of detective sargeant lauren butch baker with his family. is he on the far right in this photo. detective butler was also killed on tuesday this, is her with her family. they were interviewed sexual assault suspect jeremy goulet. he opened fire and was later killed in a shootout. a motorcade is scheduled to start thursday at 8:45 a.m. on ocean street and will travel over highway 17 to san jose. the memorial was moved to hp pavilion to accommodate what is expected to be a large crowd and expected to start at noon. there will be a live feed of the service at the kaiser permanente arena. we'll broadcast the service live right here on abc 7 news as well as abc 7 news.com. >> a man convicked of impersonating a parking lot attendant is back in jail for the same thing that put him there two months this year. the 50-year-old was arrested last sunday for selling parking spaces he didn't control. this arrest four days after he finished a 60 day sentence for the inches of rain in north bay mountains, perhaps one inch in the santa cruz mountains. a quarter to half inch in lower elevations. let me show you right now. most bay area locations are so dry, we'd appears to have been cured thanks to a stronger treatment regime. he has no signs of infection. abc news reporter karen traverse has the story. >> officials are calling it the mississippi miracle baby. >> we have in fact cured the child. >> the baby's mother was hiv positive and had not received any prenatal care. 30 hours after the baby was born, before doctor doctors confirmed it was hiv positive as well they decided to take an aggressive approach to its treatment. over the next 18 months the child responded well to treatment but then, stopped coming. and stopped medicines. when doctors tracked down the mother and child several months later they detectived no hiv in the child's blood. >> my first thought was to pan yichblgt i thought oh, my goodness. i very been treating a child not actually infected. >> just to be sure doctors went back and checked the lab work and confirmed the child did have hiv at birth the child is now two and a half years old, off medication about a year, still no signs of the infection. there is only been one other case of someone being cured of hiv, a german man who saved bone marrow transplant. the mississippi case could be a major break through in future treatment. >> if this works high-dose treatment at the time of birth could revolutionize what is being done. >> doctors say this could be used on other baby was hiv to see if there is similar success. >> turning to business news now, smart phones about to break a big record and latest company to suffer a hack tack. >> good afternoon, larry and carolyn, shipments of smart phones are expected to exceed feature phones this year for the very first time. companies will ship 918 million smart phones in 2013 accounting for just more than 50% of all mobile phones shipped. compare from the system maying linger into thursday. a beach hazard advisory this afternoon. stay away from the water's edge. you can see lots of clouds there and moisture. a tremendous amount of moisture. there is a lot of cold air behind the front. we're going to get rainfall out of this. notice the front sweeps into the central part of the bay area by 10:00 tomorrow night. virtually all parlgts will be wet by 10:00 tomorrow evening, then, overnight rainfall tapering off into showers. so it will be a wet start to rush hour wednesday morning. throughout the day, periods of rain and showers wednesday continuing into late wednesday night. and some more showers wednesday morning. overnight tonight, clouds increasing late. low temperatures dropping into mid-30s. only low 40s around the bay skpont coast. then, tomorrow, under cloudy skies look for highs in the south bay about low to mid-60s. low 60s on the peninsula. in the north bay, low 60s, 61 in son gnomea. east bay, 62 in oakland. inland east bay, 62 in concord. here is the accu-weather forecast. chilly rainy wednesday and thursday. high temperatures only into low to mid-50s. friday starts to get milder over the weekend. sunny more, three homes are now red tagged. abc 7 news is in that neighborhood live for us. a handful of city agencies are now meeting at this intersection. since day one when there is a sink hole in the street, three more have been discovered including recent this afternoon ai. house on the corner where homeowners just moved in two weeks ago. they've not yet been ordered to move out. three other families have. three homes are red tagged. the sign sites soil is unstable, two share a 20 foot sink hole inside of the home oo. and this is probably four to five feet deep. >> the water exploded up through the concrete load creating a river two feet deep across the area, 23 homes wfr affected. that day there is one sink hole in the street where the break happened. cindy's home is red tagged. she says state farm is back pedaling. >> we need to know now and make decisions for our children. >> gloria lives a block up but might as well have predicted the disaster. in 2007 when a developer asked for permission to build eight homes on 15th avenue she and other neighbors pointed out they'd be built on a creek bed that fed pine lake in stern grove. chamber lynn says neighbors ignored concerns of swal growed a part of a home and killed a man. it's located about three miles away about 10 feet deep, opening up behind a home, nobody was hurtd, crews finishing demolition work of a home in tampa. you can see what is left of the property. rescuers had to give up efforts to find the man. >> bakers field police are now investigating whether there was crime fal wrong doing in the death of a woman after a nurse in an assistive living facility refused to perform cpr. >> well, then, if you can get anyone, any stranger happening to walk about by, i understand if your boss telling you you can't do it f there is any, as a human being is there anyone there will be to help this lady and not let her die? >> not at this time. >> during that call, the dispatcher assured the nurse the facility could not be sued if anything went wrong with cpr. the 87-year-old later died at the hospital. officials at the facility defended it's nurse saying she did follow company policy. >> an e mail accuses a
