14 hours or so. for some of us on monday morning more the eclipse yeah we'll have cloud cover along the coast but clear skying inland. so the running theme on monday get far from the coast for the best bet for clear skies. we're just a little more than a day away from the solar eclipse happening. what will be happening is that the sun and moon and earth will be in perfect alignment. this happens actually once every two year os or so somewhere on e globe. this time occurs over the united states. the sun is 400 times bigger than the moon but so far away it will appear to be the same size monday morning and create that eclipse. the moon will have two shadows. first an umbral shadow where the moon completely covers the sun for total eclipse that is only 70 miles wide shadow in the path of totality but much broader shadow from alaska to mexico that is shadow where the moon blocks part of the sun for partial eclipse that's what we will see locally in the bay area. sky condition happened at a gas station near the freeway nobody wounded but two injured. deadly plane crash in oregon has a deadly connection. it took off in san carlos and crashed close to where people are
