and she'll need rest. lilian kim is live in san francisco's ma sonic center. that's where the candidate was supposed to speak tomorrow. lilian? >> reporter: the fund rayser will go -- the fundraiser will go on as scheduled even without hillary clinton who is expected to take this time to rest. the video shows hillary clinton leaving a 9/11 ceremony after being overheated and dehydrated. on her way to her vehicle she loses her footing and propped back up by aides and secret service. even after that she appears to struggle into the van. she emerged hours later from her daughter's apartment. morning's procession at the world trade center site. family members and friends continue a tradition that began in 2002. they read the names of the loved ones they lost in 2001. in the bay area a 9/11 memorial tradition is growing in lafayette. alyssa harrington is live in lafayette with the story. alyssa? >> reporter: it started with one person holding a flag at a lafayette bridge and now 15 years later people are keeping the tradition alive to honor the men and women who were killed. you couldn't miss it driving along highway 24 in lafayette. dozens of american flags, signs and people waiving from the overpass. on this day for 15 years people have gathered here in remembrance of those who were killed in the september 11th terror attacks. >> just thinking of the people who sacrificed their lives on this day. >> this makes me very proud. i love being out on the bridge. >> reporter: after the attacks in 2001, one man stood here with a single flag and others joined. since then the east bay bridge has been the meeting spot where a grassroots group of veterans and volunteers who call themselves the flag briggade meet with others in the community. although they will never forget organizers say it is important to educate children who weren't even born yet about the solemn anniversary. they put up old newspaper articles, peck tours and a -- pictures and a flag for people to sign jievment it allows the kids to see where we have come from. >> it is part of the american history. we were attacked and we were victimized. it is important to teach our children that freedom matters >> at dusk they stood on the overpass and lit can dahls and and -- candles and said a prayer and had a moment of silence. alyssa harrington, abc7 news. >> abc7 news was in palo alto today as members of all faiths marched in solidarity. it honors victims of 9/11, their families and the first responders at ground 0. organizers want people who think, feel and believe things in a common moment. they marched at the numbers in the low 50s. concord 59 and livermore 58. the winds have been really gusting through the delta. near 40 miles an hour at times. elsewhere 12 to 15 miles an hour. things have dialed back since earlier. we will see breezy conditions particularly in the higher elevations and the coastal hills tomorrow as the cool weather descends over northern california. mist and drizzle at the coast. more so into tuesday morning and breezy and cooler tomorrow. we are looking at chilly afternoon readings. as we get to wednesday the temperatures will begin to come up. by the end of the week we are back to summer where fall really doesn't arrive for another 10 days. 55 in fremont and santa cruz at fest 2. 52. hour by hour the clouds are advancing to the east overnight. and then i will stop this at 7:00 in the morning and fast-forward to monday nighty. this is where you get to see the drizzle and the mist. 2:00 on tuesday morning. then as wee continue through the morning hours it looks soggy down around santa cruz and perhaps a couple hundredths in and around oakland and san francisco. we'll watch it for you. in the meantime tuesday looks like a cool and breezy day with numbers in the mid70s. concord. a little warm around the bay and as we get through the later part of the week and a minor bump on wednesday. by thursday we are back into the 80sand it is feeling more seasonal. looking at high temperatures in the south bay and after the morning gray we will see about 74 san jose and 76 in morgan hill and 70 red -- redwood city. in the city, maybe a little more sunshine tomorrow, but still cool at 61. 71 in santa roughy saw. in santa rosa. 68 in fremont and you head inland and we are looking at mid70s. it is getting gusty over the hills later in the day. the look at tonight's top stories. hillary clinton will not travel to a fundraiser in san francisco tomorrow. this after clinton over heated and left a 9/11 ceremony in new york city. the presidential hopeful is battling pneumonia. no word when clinton will return to the cam pain trail -- campaign trail. vandalism marred a tribute. small flags were burned and others had the sticks broken outside station two of the menlo park fire district. that station helped with recovery work in new york 15 years ago. american flags flew above highway 24 in love lafayette today. it started with one man who saluted america during the playing of the national anthem. a college football player in southern california was arrested after his game. he is accused of punching the referee and it is caught on camera. abc news reporter with the details. >> reporter: tonight this referee knockout caught on camera -- >> the ref just got punched in the face by a player. what? >> reporter: the ref holding back mount san antonio college lineman bernard shermer as he has words with the other team. then the hit, the ref laid out. the 6-5, 270-pound lineman immediately ejected from the game and arrested. now facing a felony battery charge. >> his father said he was hitting himself in the head to calm down accidently striking the ref. >> if you go back and look for it, you can see he struck himself. >> reporter: trainers were rushing to help the official. he never returned to the game. this is the latest case of a ref roughed up on the field. in texas last year this lineman makes a bee line for the referee. he is down and another player divess into him head first. >> there are 23 states around the country that have decided to create laws that make it a criminal action to assault a referee. >> that was adrian bancart reporting. sherman's family hopes the charges would be dropped. if not it could end his playing career. athletic policy say -- says he could be suspended up to five years. a person accused of impersonating a doctor is arrested of fraud. he is accused of attempting to buy a $35,000 lexus at this dealership with false documents and accused of getting an elderly woman to cosine for the loan. >> there was a lot he was saying and doing that didn't add up. >> they called police after discovering his previous arrest in february. that's when the team who called -- teen who called himself dr. love treated patients at a medical clinic with his name on the door. he is being held on three new charges of fraud with no bond. transgender actress alexis arquette has died. the 47-year-old chronicled her transition of sex reassignment surgery in the documentary "alexis arquette, she is my brother. she played in "pulp fiction" and" bride of chucky". her cause of death has not been released. a college party in connecticut ends in near tragedy as two crowded balconies collapse on to another balcony below. more than two dozen students were treated for injuries, but no one was killed. as abc news reporter reports, it is the latest in a number of similar incidents. >> chaos and off campus house party in connecticut. three decks packed with people collapsed. >> we have three balconies that collapsed. >> reporter: the third story deck crashing down after 11:00 in the meddle of the crowded party and landing on the porch below and then all collapsed to the first floor. dozens were trapped. >> we got reports that people scattered and there was debris on top of people. >> reporter: most students from nearby trinity college. >> the third floor you can see the wood was old and structurally not very sound. you have 50 or 60 kids out there. >> reporter: we have seen this destructive combination before. last year this roof collapsed during the st. patrick's day college party in california and six students were killed when this balcony collapsed from the fourth floor of an apartment building. in all as many as 30 people taken to area hospitals with minor injuries and officials say it is a miracle no one was killed. >> that was eva pilgrim reporting. trinity college confirmed to abc news that they own the property and at this point they don't know when it was last brad hart directs the silence lab. they are perfecting a system that analyzes the proteins in human hair. they say even a single strand contains a biologic signature so strong it can identify a person among the entire population of the world. the advantages could be game changing. >> it has the potential to be cheap and quick to obtain and fast and technology is fundamentally different to dna. >> once the samples are processed they are run through a device known as a mass pectometer. they are influenced by mutations in a person's dna. the result is a unique signature pattern of dna, but more
