>> eric, early voting here at san francisco city hall begins at 8:00 a.m. it is a little more than four weeks before the june 7th primary. now that early voting in california is about to get underway candidates are getting serious. the hillary clinton campaign is opening its san francisco office on van ness and oak farrell. a few volunteers showed up to spread the word. >> there is support here for hillary and we have been organizing for over a year and we continued the great work. >> clinton her continued on friday. now it is bernie sanders' turn. he is scheduled to appear in sacramento on monday and stockton on tuesday. at his campaign office in sacramento the phones have been ringing off the hook. people have been calling to get the details of his visit. >> i am excited for california and i am excited for sacramento. we are so thrilled he is coming and we can't wait. >> a lot of excitement despite the long odds sanders faces in overtaking clinton in the delegate count. melissa michael son is a political science professor. >> how big a role will bernie sanderses have at the convention? >> this gets right to your heart. a sick-year-old girl diagnosed with kidney cancer and over the last year she endured chemo, radiation and multiple surgeries and then her mom gets cancer. >> happy mother's day. this is mommy in bed. >> there was overwhelmingjoy in their home. they are together fighting cancer on two fronts. she was the first to get diagnosed with kidney cancer last summer and it wasn't an easy journey. >> my mom was scared if i was going to stay alive or probably die. >> you made it. >> yes, we made it. our family thought we were done with cancer for the year, but it turns out we weren't. my mom got it too on her leg, skin cancer on her leg. >> melanoma diagnosed in april after they returned from a make a wish trip to hawaii. >> i will take 10 of this over watching one of my children go through this again. it is so much easier to face it yourself. >> now recouperating from surgery she relies on her daughter's advice and encouragement and started walking again. >> i want you to try your best and it will help you get up and you keep on going. >> to have this angel by my side helped so much. >> and this mother-daughter team is paying off. >> it is the best mother's day ever. >> it pretty much was the best mother's day ever. >> in moraga, leslie brinkley, abc7 news. i would hope that they would say that i dared to parent them. >> sonya curry opens up about what it is like to be a mom to two nba players. >> you can save hundred of dollars if you are in the market for leather furniture, but what are you really getting?
