abc7 news starts right now with live, breaking news. >> and that breaking news is happening at san francisco city hall. deputies in riot gear clash with protesterses refusing to leave the building. tonight they are demanding the firing of police chief greg sir. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. >> let's go to alyssa harrington who is live at city hall. >> the protesters are refusing to leave and are below mayor ed lee's balcony. there has been a lot of pushing and shoving and a few arrests. demonstrator want the police chief fired. they accuse the department of police brutality and unnecessary killing. the group chanted outside mayor lee's office before being forced downstairs. they knocked down a metal detector and used it to prop open one of the doors. they are here in solidarity with five hunger strykers who -- hunger strikers who have been hospitalized. they are continuing from their hospital beds and are continuing to be force fed. police are outside to assist if things get out of hand. no word of injuries, but the protesters did call for an ambulance. they tell us they planned to stay here all weekend, but if that can't happen they will move back to the mission police station. reporting live in san francisco, alyssa harrington, abc7 news. >> alyssa, thank you for that report. stay on top of the breaking news story with the abc7 news app. enable push alerts and get updates as they happen. to developing news, a prominent san francisco attorney killed at her own home. she worked for the public defender's office for 29 years. a man found at the crime scene is being questioned. flowers lie on the sidewalk outside the potrero hill of marla zamora. a long-time defender in san francisco who was stabbed to death on friday morning. >> poor marla. i can't believe it. i have known her since she moved in, insurance is they were built in the 80s. >> investigators walked in and out of the building. >> it is insane when this kind of thing is right across the street. >> the next door ?ai bore didn't want to be on camera, but he heard yelling and saw zamora bloody in the backyard. a man in home was de intayed. he is in shock. jay she had a heart of gold. >> she is everything you would want a public defender to be. she fought hard and she had tremendous compassion for her clie -- clients. >> this include defending edwin ramos, sentenced to life if prison for the triple murder of a man and his two sons. ramos had mistaken them as rival gang member. police have not released information about the suspect, but if he is asked to represent that person -- >> for obvious reasons they will not represent anyone charged. marla zamora is one of us. >> whoever is accused of this murder would have to hire a private attorney. >> hillary clinton came to the bay area. this is video from her campaign rally at a school in:00 land. in oakland. she ended in san francisco. we find leslie brinkley live. leslie?
