We will show you the wet weather is focused south and east of San Francisco. We will press in locally closer to the east bay. Light showers around hayward and union city and fremont pressing to the east. You will see the light showers in the next hour or so. To the south bay, palo alto and sunnyvale and redwood city, light rain showers. As we widen out the view, the first round of rain is associated with a cold front. Behind it there is a second ripple of Energy Moving through eureka at this hour that will dive south and bring us more wet weather for the morning rush. Newly released video captures a car accident that killed the father of four young children. It happened on wednesday at the intersection of concord boulevard and ayres road. Thats where lilian kim is live with the story tonight. Lilian . Reporter katie, since the accident people dropped off flowers in his memory. He was on his way to work when his car was broadsided by a speeding truck. He took a route he drove nearly every day. On wednesday that route ended up killing him. Security video from a nearby home shows him crossing concord avenue when the driver of a speeding truck ran a red light and slammed into his car. He was killed instantly and officers arrested the person behind the wheel. So she hit him and then like shoot him like a soccer ball, his car. They are devastated. They said he was like a father to everyone. He had 10 siblings, a wife and four young children. What makes his death harder to process is he was not even scheduled to work that morning, but he had to go in for an emergency. A great and sweet person and a great husband. I think we as a family think god has taken an angel from us. Ill be there for her. She had to break the news to his wife and plans to be there for her as long as it takes. She went through something similar three years ago. They were on their bikes when a speeding suv ran them over and killed them. I can help her and guide her. Two Santa Clara Police officers are on paid leave after shooting and killing a robbery suspect. That makes three officer involved shootings in the bay area in an eighthour span. The other two were in vallejo and richmond last night. Video shows Santa Clara Police on the 7eleven after 2 00 a. M. It was moments earlier and the officers had driven into the parking lot to find a robbery in progress. The suspect had a gunpointed at the store clerk and he fired a shot. He then came outside where the cops were wyiting. He confronted the suspect and he failed to comply with the officers orders and subsequently the officer was fearing for their lives and the safety of the citizens and in the parking lot discharged their firearm fatally wounding the suspect. The clerk was thought hurt. A town hall meeting will be held on last weeks officer involved shooting in San Francisco. Officers shot alice brown after she drove the wrong way down pine street on tuesday night and crashed into several vehicles and went on to the sidewalk. Officers say they fired at her for their safety and for the safety of other citizens present. A 9yearold boy is in the hospital after he fell through the roof of a school in the north bay. The boy went through a plastic skylight on top of hamilton elementary in novato this morning. Firefighters say the child was playing with friends at the time. His mother was there but she didnt know he was on the roof. She drove him to Novato Community hospital. Medics decided he needed to go to Childrens Hospital in oakland a specialized trauma center. A 9yearold with a closed head injury fall 30 feet to the concrete. The eta is 27 minutes. The patient is ready to go and you will be quicker to get him there by ground waiting on the helicopter and travel time. An ambulance did end up driving him to childrens instead of the helicopter. The boy reportedly hurt his head and back. The marin county sheriff searchandrescue team is headed to Yosemite National park to aid in the search of a missing man. Michael dahl has been missing since yesterday. He was last seen near the lower yosemite footbridge on saturday morning. The marin searchandrescue team will aid the team in the search effort. The National Park service closed a trail that leads to an over look after a deadly cliff collapse at point reyes. The bluff gave way about 6 00 last noo. Last night. One was killed and the other person critically injured. Cracks prompted them to post signs warning visitors to stay away from the area. The owners of a Popular San Francisco restaurant are sailing into unchartered waters tonight. They kept sinbads open even though their landlord said they would be out yesterday. He says he does hope to be able to stay in business here for at least the next few months. Tonight they had a full service and they closed at 10 00 like they usually do every sunday. When sinbads opened in the supper of 1975 this was not a piece of prime real estate. Back then customers had to slip under the old embarcadero freeway. Now they can easily enjoy a great view of the bay bridge. They plan to expand Ferry Service and build more piers here will ultimately be the end of sinbads. It will be great. I wont stand in the way of that type of progress. The agency who runs the San Francisco bay ferries will not need this until next spring in nine months. He hopes to stay until then. Temperature wise with the clouds up above and the showers falling in uniform temperatures. 58 in oakland and 57 in downtown San Francisco. 55 in fremont and 60 if hayward 60 in hayward. You look off to the north and west and there is another line of showers developing in Northern California and thats a ripple of energy that is looing behind this cold front. It will try to initiate showers for the morning rush. Early tomorrow morning at 2 00 on your monday hit and miss showers are popping up and even by 6 00 as we are headed back to work and school still an unsettled pattern. There will be showers in the forecast. That second piece of energy moves through and by the afternoon we are drying out our skies and the sunshine is coming back. As abc7 morning news anchor eric thomas reports it could some day change the way many surgeries are done. From bike riding to basketball it would be hard to find a sport that marty doesnt like.
