The one next to them does have plants in it and firefighters saved that one. Thats where they stopped the fire. Fire investigators were out here this morning looking at surveillance video, but they still zodont know what started the fire. The video helped them determine what time the fire started. It was just before 11 00 last night. It took them about an hour to get it contained and thats because they had trouble getting water to it. It is tucked away at the back of a huge piece of property, filled with greenhouses. As they put it, it is off the beaten path. This is along highway 92 in half moon bay. Bay city flowers is renting this property but was not renting these abandoned greenhouses that burned. The Property Owner who these two belong to was not available to comment. No one was hurt in this fire. Now, one worker for bay city flowers told us there has been an issue with Homeless People cutting through here to go and camp on the hillside behind the property. The building involved in mondays deadly blaze in west oakland is set to be demolihed. Firefighters say it is too unstable and will be torn down once investigators figure out what caused the fire. Four people died in the building on san pablo and athens avenue. It was home to a nonprofit transitional housing program. The red cross has set up a shelter for the dozens of people who were displaced. New details in alameda where pg e crews decided to deactivate a gas line after it was cut earlier this morning. This is video from the scene around 7 00 this morning. Crews were able to plug the gas leak and a shelterinplace has been lifted. Police say the pressurized steel riser that pumps gas was severed around 1 00 a. M. When a car crashed through a fence and slammed into it. The driver suffered minor injuries. Only one customer was affected, and that person no longer uses gas service. So pg e is just turning the line off. Were also following developing news out of washington d. C. Where police are investigating a disturbing incident that prompted a lock down on capitol hill. Now, this shows everything is back the normal right now, thats what ear he hearing and everybody is safe, but officers admit theyre shaken after a driver rammed her car into a Police Cruiser and tried to run down several other officers. Abcs lawn ah zack reports. Reporter a stressful situation at the u. S. Capitol today. Tourists cleared from the area, Capitol Office buildings on lockdown. Visitors along the street were running up the sidewalk, and we heard a shot and a second shot and a third shot. We heard a total of three shots. So it is pretty scary. Reporter the call of shots fired came in around 9 30 this morning. The United States Capitol Police officers observed an erratic and aggressive driver. Reporter early reports that a female driver struck a capitol Police Cruiser and tried running over other officers who were on foot around the capitol compound. Capitol hill police opened fire. You can see the car there with windows shattered. During the attempt to arrest the suspect, shots were fired. However, no individuals were injured during the arrest. Reporter Security Officials have been on the alert for vehicular attacks, especially around highprofile targets like the capitol. The concern, that wouldbe terrorists here could try to mirror attacks in nice and london. In this case the initial evidence points elsewhere. Although preliminary, this incident appears to be criminal in nature with no nexus to terrorism. Reporter so far authorities are not saying if necessary have a motive. The fbi has been deployed to the scene to assist. The situation over but the story continuing to unfold. At this point there are no reports of injuries and, again, they do not believe this was terrorrelated, but Security Experts tell me at the Moment Police have to be responding to all possibilities, including that it could be part of a larger coordinated attack. Some people are still not able to go home. Today the Santa Clara Valley Water District will be discussing the president s day weekend flood report, but before they get to that they have stirred up controversy. The district sent a letter to the mayor of san jose demanding to know why the city didnt evacuate endangered neighborhoods ahead of the flood. So lets talk a little bit more about that. The storm is to our north, pretty impressive radar returns but this will lose a lot of moisture by the time it gets to us. Admit night, a stray shower. Most of the rain to the north. At 2 00 you can see scattered, light showers developing. 4 00 they move into south bay and 7 00 we are starting to see them diminish. By 9 00 theyre gone, and by noon the breezes kick in, clouds clear out and temperatures drop about six to ten degrees compared to today. And then it still will be breezy on friday, but those temperatures will start to rebound. As we head into saturday, 70 at the coast, near 80 for the rest of us.
