Yosemite park officials are keeping a close eye on the storm as they consider closing the park over flooding concerns. This is video from a storm in 1997 that did a lot of damage to roads and camp grounds. The park had to be closed for two months while repairs were made. Officials will decide in the next day or two whether to close this weekend. And crews in pacifica are waiting for the weather to improve before they can knock down this Apartment Building on a crumbling seaside cliff. Last night the city Council Voted to spend 220,000 to demolish the building before it collapses into the ocean. The cliff has been eroding quickly over the past few weeks. The Property Owner would have been asked to pay for it, but he has declared bankruptcy. It is the third Apartment Building to be demolished because of erosion on esplanade. And as we gear up for more possible mudslides, california is sitting on billion dollars of unspent bonds that could help ease the concerns. A study looks back to 2006 when california voters approve 42 billion in new infrastructure bonds. Ten years later, roughly 7 billion of bonds still have not been issued. The lead analyst on the Research Project said that doesnt mean the state is ignoring the issue. Rather the projects are complex and the permitting process between forward and state agencies takes time. New this morning, a Solano CountySheriffs Office has a warning for drivers about fake cops pulling people over all over the region. Officials say the imposters are using policetype lights that trick drivers. There hasnt been any real crimes committed yet but the sheriffs oft wants to get the word out to stay safe. So if you think the vehicle pulling you over might not be legit, slow down, turn on your hazards, that will let the officer know that you see them and you are not refusing to pull over. Second drive directly to a public place where other people are there. And third, call 911 to tell the dispatcher what is going on and theyll alert the local jurisdiction to come to assist if needed. Reporter Chicago Police say this horrifying video is some of the torture endured by a young man with Mental Health challenges. Investigators claim he was held captive for as long as two days, bound and beaten and cut with a knife and verbally abused. Including racial slurs and even mention of the president elect. [ bleep ]. Reporter he was treated in a hospital and released. Police say he knew at least one of his attackers. The two men and two women accused in the attack now face felony charges, including aggravated kidnapping and hate crimes. In fact, im thinking anywhere from four to eight inches in the Santa Cruz Mountains. One to three inches in san jose an the rest of the south bay. Two to four inches for the rest of us. Three to five up in the north bay valleys. And weve got 10 00 p. M. Friday to 10 00 p. M. Saturday, a winter storm watch. They had nearly three to seven feet with this last storm, as you could see right there and they could have even more. The only thing drawing them from having another four to five feet is the snow levels get up around 9,000 feet on sunday, were just getting pounded with rain.
