Reporter tonight, amid the outrage over these pictures, Senior Citizens rushed out of a sweltering nursing home, the owners of that nursing home are speaking out. They say they called the Power Company as soon as their air conditioning system went down on sunday at the height of the storm. But repair crews never showed up, even though they say they spoke with the Utility Company at least four more times. Nursing home officials also claim they made multiple calls to state agencies including the governors office. Tonight the governors spokesman confirms those calls to an Office Emergency cell phone, but insists, at no time did the facility report that conditions had become dangerous or that the health and safety of their patients was at risk. The home wasnt evacuated until wednesday morning, when a nurse from the hospital just steps away grew concerned after a series of 911 calls.
