Reporter the police say the bomb didnt fully detonate, otherwise many couldve died. As it is nearly 30 were injured. At this stage we are treating the matter as a terroristrelated incident. A firearm was recovered, but prosecutors argued stockley planted that weapon. Video after the shooting shows stockley digging in to a bag in the backseat of his cruiser. I am confident that we presented sufficient evidence at a trial to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt that Jason Stockley was guilty of murder in the first degree. New developments in the nursing home horror where a number of residents died when the power went out after Hurricane Irma. A criminal investigation is under way and the nursing home saying it tried to reach the office of the Florida Governor several times. Abcs Victor Oquendo from florida tonight. Reporter tonight, amid the outrage over these pictures, Senior Citizens rushed out of a sweltering nursing home, the owners of that nursing home are speaking out. They say they called the Power Company as soon as their air conditioning system went down on sunday at the height of the storm. But repair crews never showed up, even though they say they spoke with the Utility Company at least four more times. Nursing home officials also claim they made multiple calls to state agencies including the governors office. Tonight the governors spokesman confirms those calls to an Office Emergency cell phone, but insists, at no time did the facility report that conditions had become dangerous or that the health and safety of their patients was at risk. The home wasnt evacuated until wednesday morning, when a nurse from the hospital just steps away grew concerned after a series of 911 calls. It kind of set off a red flag that something might be going on in the building. Reporter eight residents died, nearly 150 evacuated. Today we spoke with carmen veroy. Her parents libia and gabriel, both residents of that nursing home. And both survived. But she is shaken. You cant let people die like this, like animals. Reporter police today, scouring that nursing home and it is now a crime scene. A preliminary autopsy today finding he had a highly elevated blood alcohol level and traces of thc in his system, the chemical found in marijuana along with swelling in the brain and fluid in the lungs.
