actually about a mile east of springville road. authorities are still looking into what exactly caused this crash. we do know again that one student was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. she was actually getting off the bus was stopped with lights flashing when the car hit the rear of the bus. now, that girl does not have serious injuries, but the driver of the vehicle has been taken to st. luke's hospital. her condition has not been given at this time. authorities are still looking into exactly how everything happened. but, the road has been closed when we got on scene, traffic was backed up significantly along highway 159 -- highway 151. it is now closed at highway 13. you will have to find a different way around, or at least -- for at least the next good while while they try to figure this out. covering the corridor work near springfield -- new springville, joe huisinga , cbs 2 news it was cooler around eastern iowa, but still decent conditions. temperatures at seasonable levels in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. we are and 57 in cedar rapids with when's out of the east at three miles per hour. the current temperatures look like this. 55 around decorah and 57 from charles city and old wine up to monticello -- and oelwein to monticello. as is usually the case, here is the radar and nothing is showing up in eastern iowa. it will change tomorrow as the system gets organized to the northwest of us. so far this month has been lean on rain which is good news because we had a lot in september. at this point in the month, dubuque and cedar rapids are 1/2 inch below normal. iowa city is 1 inch below normal. waterloo is 1.51 inches below what is typical of rainfall around waterloo. it would not hurt have some rainfall. it looks like we will get it as this storm the northwestern united states. take a look at that very impressive low pressure which will pump moisture into the midwest. as the system forms and tracks across iowa, that will bring rain to us. we will take you to the predictor and at 7:00 this evening, the skies are mostly clear and we are starting to see high clouds to the west. at midnight, the wave increases a little bit and the clouds will thicken as we go through the nighttime hours. expected. here at noon you can see the clouds are getting thicker and thicker and then in the late afternoon and early evening hours, rain is expected to break out around eastern iowa. that should become heavier through the nighttime hours tomorrow night and into the morning on wednesday morning. the way the system is tracking, it looks like it will come up into southeastern iowa. the heavier rain should be north/northwest of t a northern counties that see the best chance of at least and half inch to an inch and a half of rain from highway 30 to the south and then rain should be lighter. we are looking at increasing cloudiness and the forecast tonight and temperatures that will reach the mid 30s in the north to the low 40s in the south. by tomorrow morning, overcast conditions expected. tomorrow, expect cloudy skies and cooler conditions. especially in the north where it is 59 for decorah. cedar rapids makes it to 55 and washington has a crack at about 58 degrees. then tomorrow night, showers are expected and even isolated thunderstorm. there could -- that is expected until wednesday morning. then the storm system pulls away and you can see we get back into sunshine on thursday and another nice warm-up expected friday as we push 70 saturday a little cooler at 64 than 56 on sunday. after the rain, it starts tomorrow and ends on wednesday. it goes right on through the weekend. that's fantastic and i'm sure everybody is looking toward halloween night.>> the weather looks pretty good right now. we will check back in as it gets
