Jenee about thirtyfive hundred babies die every year from sleep related deaths. Deaths. Now the American Academy of pediatrics is recommending babies and parents to share the same room. Ninety percent of sids cases happen before a baby is six months old. Experts recommend infants and parents to sleep in the same bedroom for at least the First Six Months of life but ideally for the first year to be safe. Experts believe this could decrease sids related deaths. The studies that were done looking at the reduction in risk of sids really were done life and we know that reduction can be as much as 50 percent. Experts recommend parents not to sleep in the same bed with their infant. Parents should also remove soft beddinga babys mattress should be firmlastly parents should remove all toys and pillows out of the crib to avoid suffocation.
