iowa student scores in math and reading and dropped. the iowa department of education said the statewide assessment test are only one measure of how the students are performing. this is the first year sunshine with middle 50s and once the sun goes down into the 40s. high pressure with clearing skies and mostly sunny for us and our next storm system just getting organized over the pacific northwest and that will move into our area. looks like late saturday night into sunday. high pressure east as we get into the morning hours tomorrow. you can see here by midafternoon tomorrow we do have a southerly flow. sunshine and temperatures much warmer and here comes the low pressure with the cold front that will drag your saturday night into sunday. calm overall a nice fall afternoon with temperatures in the middle to upper 50s and tonight not as cold and still rather chilly mostly clear with patchy frost mainly north of highway 30. looking at low 30s to mid to upper 30s areas south and here is your extended forecast like i mentioned tomorrow. 10 degrees warmer and mostly sunny of 66. low 70s for saturday and sunday with the front coming through saturday night into sunday with showers and thunderstorms. temperatures mild in the low 70s and we get into monday temperatures and they will be the upper 70s with areas seeing even 80 degrees on monday. it will be slightly humid as well so we go from 30s this morning to maybe near 80 degrees on monday and we will keep the mild temperatures through tuesday before another front comes through and then we go back down into the 60s what is the latest? >> 10 miles east of bermuda from the national hurricane center and while the strongest winds are expected to remain offshore, the airport did measure a 77 mile-per-hour sustained wind and a gust of 104 miles per hour and here you can see the forecaster track. it has winds of 120 with gusts up to 150. it's a a major hurricane moving northeast at around 60 miles per hour so it is expected to move away from bermuda and we can as it moves into the atlantic and weakened to a category two and eventually category one by friday morning and eventually it will be at tropical storm.
