Either way the flood center and Weather Service says we can all make ourselves more aware of the risk in our own neighborhoods. It says with the 22 or 26 foot flood crest that it translates just how bad that could be. The flood Center Director says, make no mistake, there will be a next time. There are indications based on scientific analysis and the data as well as some that implied these kinds of events will continue.
