be a full building. you can see now and bricks. what happened at four clock someone reported a gas leak. a little bit before 6:00 that blast that you saw that rocked an entire city block and brought this building down. like you said one person died in the attack -- not in the attack the explosion and 11 people were injured. so far everyone is recovering today. >> members of the iowa supreme as the chief justice. he's been there for 18 years. he was elected for chief justice in 2010. governor. brent sent elevated mark cady after voters rejected the retention of his predecessor. the term night, in eastern iowa. today it was a happy world the birds were chirping. in iowa city it hit 75 degrees. they tied the record high which was set in 1958. here in cedar rapids we made it up to 73 also tying our record high which was in 1941. no records in waterloo or to puke. both of the cities make it into the 70s this afternoon. some outstanding weather in the midwest. anything in the way of rainfall. 15 consecutive days of no rainfall. tonight as that cold front approaches we could see showers developed and this could be around early in the day tomorrow. i don't look too much in the way of rainfall. for the commute to my there could be some sprinkles but can't beat the temperatures. they will be in that made and upper 50s. normal lows should be around 27 degrees. we will be 30 degrees above normal. then the front we expect strong winds and falling temperatures and why saturday we will see the coldest high temperatures we seen in eastern iowa since back in march. here's the storm system that will produce the change. this is a classic storm. it's going to pound western minnesota and they could get 15 to 18 inches of snow. they have blizzard warnings for developing out there and i will advance northeast. our low pressure tonight is down to the south west of us. in advance of that today we had the south winds blowing out there and that's at the temperatures soaring about 30 degrees above the seasonal norms. tomorrow morning the low pressure is getting into central iowa and we're still on the warm side but during the morning hours the front will move across the state and once it gets east of us the winds will crank up probably gusts as high as 40 miles per hour. some of these snow showers on the backs of the storm are likely to work their way into eastern iowa late tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow evening. we have that to look forward to. look for a big drop in temperatures after 64 at 8:00 tomorrow morning. in the evening it will be in the 30s and the winds should be our beautiful weather. sunday morning i'm expecting a little of 20 degrees. that's a 53 tank in temperatures. you throw in the wind chills and it will feel 60 degrees colder than it did today. all good things come to an end. we have a high temperature of 38. that will be the first time in 22 days with a below normal high temperature in eastern iowa. temperatures tonight saying in the 50s in the northern counties. 55 in new hampton. in the south some of the lows should stay close to 60. 59 in iowa city, 57 in cedar rapids. for the north tomorrow these will be the morning high temperatures and by afternoon's will be falling into the 30s. maybe a morning shower and that turns wendy in the afternoon. it will be 66 in tipton and 65 in iowa city then the temperatures will tank in the afternoon. tomorrow night could see flurries and saturday looks to be a broad day. we chills all day long in the low to midshipman 20s. by sunday morning where down to 20 degrees. we will have sunshine but 41. we may get some rain on tuesday but that moves out just in time for thanksgiving. overall a good forecast from where we have been recently. >> we now continue with changes coming to
