Definitely. It was one of those real days where there wasnt a real tornado. The dynamics werent exactly in place to have strong tornadoes, so even though weve had multiple reports, they were weak. They were also very far away from the radar. It is important for transponders to be out there and be our eyes on the ground. Especially in this case, they were rather weak. It was good that we could actually see some confirmation of what was going on. This is the tornado out in parkersburg. It looks like this one did touchdown near Grundy Center and both look like they got pretty close to the ground there. It is pretty important to see what actually happened happening down there. Its very hard for us to detect wh there was some damage actually reported. This was in Hardin County where there were two week two week tornadoes reported. A lot of things were strewn about across the road. Just one of those days where it kind of just happened, but its always good to have those warnings going off. Its very important to have those spotters down on the road for it does sound strange to talk about tornadoes in iowa in november. The National WeatherService Tells Us that 41 tornadoes had touched down in november here in iowa over the last 35 years. With more than half of those falling on just two days. It was just before 10 in the morning. A vehicle has struck several pedestrians. He crashed in the people walking outside watts hall. Then, police says a suspect we are going to look at it from the potential that it was planned. And officer acting quickly shot the suspect taking him down and killing him. That is a Pretty Healthy looking tornado. That is probably over hundred 10 mileperhour winds. That is one of the tornadoes we saw late this afternoon. The storms also produce some impressive hail. It wasnt so much the size of the hail, it was the amount of the hail. You can see the roads and the this picture was taken near parkersburg. We did hear that they actually had to have snow plows out on the roads to remove the hail because dragon driving conditions were so slick. There is Carter Parkersburg right about there. You did the right on the corner just east of parkersburg, there is the other one down in Grundy Center. Most were in butler counties. These storms moved onto the northeast. Now, here is the current radar. You can see the front has pivoted into wisconsin. The rain has moved to wisconsin and it will be dry into tomorrow morning. Will show temperatures that will be in the mid 30s and disguised by that time will be breaking out. We should go mostly sunny tomorrow afternoon. Winds will be out of the up to 20 miles per hour. This is a storm system that produces the spin necessary to get this tornado developed this afternoon. You can see a very tight circulation up here on the north dakota, dakota border. That sent in a strong jetstream at the upper levels of the atmosphere. The winds were coming in from the southeast so that created this win that race into the counties and dissipated after sunset. You can see the line of storms as a start to dissipate and move into wisconsin and illinois. Now, the front has passed through and we can expect colder and colder temperatures in the next several days. A little bit of night light snow has been reported in western iowa. The cold air is not too far away. It will take a little while for it to spin into our region. These guys are starting to we get to midnight, a lot of us will be seeing some stars and we will start with sunny skies. From 6 am until about noon time, morse clouds still showing up, the rest of us will be probably clear to partly cloudy conditions. Finally, late tomorrow afternoon, some of that cold air will wrap further and further into eastern iowa. By the time we get into Late Wednesday or wednesday night, there is even a possibility of at least a few snow flurries in accumulate. In the north tonight, the low should dropped about 34 to 36 degrees. Most of the scattered showers are now gone. Temperatures here will be right about 35 to 39 degrees and maybe a few sprinkles in a few spots. Tomorrow, we begin with sunny skies and still mild temperatures for this time of year. Highs should be around 45 to 48 degrees. Mostly sunny skies, and temperatures should range from 47 to 48 in cedar rapids. Here is your extended forecast. There may be a couple of rain showers mixed in with a little snow on wednesday and more possible on thursday. These will be brief and light. When the cold air gets be system we are watching for on sunday. It has the potential for producing some light snow in the area. We would know a lot more on that in the next 24 hours. Some paving is being done that could lead to lane reductions and could slow you down out on the roads. Paving between cities 26 street and 31st street. There will be some workers around there, and there will be some lane reductions as they do this work. They are hoping to have it done through the week, however, the weather can interfere with that. Especially with those colder temperatures. It could delay them finishing this product project.
