University of iowa students have the option to step up to the challenge of being a police officer. Every year the university of iowa hire students to work along dora miller joins us with their plan for this school year. Its a part time gig with full time responsibilities. So it could mean more for those who are interested in exploring a future in Law Enforcement. Enforcement. A Police Officers job is rarely ever finished. So at the university of iowa officers have started recruiting a helping hand is a chance for them to experience a real job, add to their resume. For years, the on Campus Police department has hired students to work part time. Time. Those who are interested in Law Enforcement and criminology and anything of that sort will have the opportunity to see what were doing here and why. But this year theyre tacking on more responsibility. Students who are hired will be asked to perform more security s duties we have students that will be working at night at the dorms helping us walk the safety and security of our students, help us unlock the buildings and get our day ready ready. In addition, were going to be having students at our special events, football, b basketball. I think its good for them to give people that want that experience. Though the students . Will be in uniform, they . Wont be Walking Around with guns and ha. Handcuffs. I feel like its good as long as students that are hired dont have weapons or anything, i think thatll be fine.
