That is America's a great country well said the city miles on the phone I don't care how many people call there during the commercial break that talk news break to rebuke me. For not knowing how the interstate highway grid system that day I was at a common seems as if there was I don't know I did I didn't want I was running on his side Ok that's sort of a go or not go no one no one to thank you everyone for giving me some grace and that brain lapse of a moment that prescience that very much I was talking about something really important. I want to highlight a great organization in town and they have an event coming up the Saturday too if you feel so called to support. Here's a couple numbers here 1st so every year 750000 about $750000.00 babies are born at $750000.00 abortions a year but there are $2000000.00 couples looking to adopt less than one percent of women in an unplanned pregnancy choose adoption so there seems to be. An information gap of love gap possibly that's preventing this connection from from being met so Lamb of God here in San Diego exists to try and fill that let's go to Sarah sic own who's the director of lamb of God and Monica is a resident at the maternity home and both are with us right now Monica Sarah how are you oh really really good to be here I really got you guys are here starting monikers as Monica go the phone that sounds like she's from Mars that's our fault Monica not yours. They're going to you sound good Monica thanks for being here. Tell us your story Monica what's going on. Well in a show when I was God save my baby's life and rescue me from crisis and with the help of lamb of God I was there on the path of self-sufficiency and stability and I am so grateful for Lamb of God They have offered me so many services from basic needs to helping me get a job and getting medical care I honestly don't know where I would have been without limits got assistance and the staff is amazing the home is comfortable and safe I just hope that this program continues to be supported and is able to offer their amazing services to the community and other women in crisis because I never knew that something like this existed and I. Am just so amazed at the way that this program is ran and the program itself where were you when you went to go see them what was going on in your life. Oh my goodness so I found myself homeless and jobless in pregnant after personal crisis of suicide and different other tragedies in my life and I went to a community outreach program and they connected need to Sarah and she came immediately interviewed me and allowed me to go to the program that same day and from the moment I walked into those doors and tell this day which is almost as months now I have had the same continued amazing loving and spiritual support that I've had since the moment I met Sarah but this is only 5 months ago when you 1st went into the program that's right so I went into the program when I was about 5 months pregnant and I just delivered my child a few days ago Congratulations yes to the graduations I thought so were you considering abortion at the time absolutely yes so I actually. Tried to self induced a miscarriage and then I scheduled an abortion appointment when that didn't happen but then I met a couple of women who pray for me they were prayer warriors outside of the clinic and one woman was wearing a shirt that said Choose life and that that changed my decision and I didn't know how I was going to do this I knew God would work out the details and he did and part of those details was lamb of god why why did you decide. Well I felt that there were all of these different obstacles to ending the pregnancy but it was basically meeting those 2 women encountering them and then praying for me and encouraging me to connect to look to a program and consider going into a program like Lamb of God and I never knew of a program like that but once I was into it and I met staff at length of God it was without question that that would be part of. The solution to having the baby being born Monika angle with us he did amazing Monica thank you for sharing that story Sara director of lamb of God So when you hear a story like that oh my gosh she's she's so good perfect perfect job so what's the story with Lamb of God give us that the official how it all works yeah so. Now about I want to say 23 years ago our founder grace to Laney placed her son for open adoption she was in a crisis pregnancy in the way that she the father was involved and she knew that her son Dylan deserved to have 2 parents and from that moment although she had a lot of family support she knew that there were girls out there who didn't have that same support and so she made the decision right then and there that down the line she was going to create a safe haven for women in crisis pregnancy looking to make the most positive decision for their baby whether that be through adoption or through making a really positive parenting plan Why is adoption not more talked about. Adoption is so highly stigmatized it's so different than anyone thinks it is it was different years ago you know 2030 years ago adoption was so different and what it looks like now adoptions were mostly closed then and today's adoptions are all open mother. Has a lot of power in her adoption decision because she's educated on her choices and she makes that decision and the baby who becomes a child knows from the moment they're born really you know it just becomes a talking point in the house that your birth mother loved you so much that she picked the perfect parents for you and so the real adoption as we know it today is just very different and people are scared of things that they don't understand how this is so Susan's executive I had no opinion about I had opinions about what I had no vision of of what adoption did or didn't look like I'm sure everyone has one right but I never really thought much about it we're saying back in the day it was I'm giving the baby up to adoption and who knows where he's going to go and who's going to end up with that what you mean by closed Yeah so it was kind of that year of the way in the night in your parents might be ashamed of of your illegitimate pregnancy you know this is how it was before and so you you might go to an old school style maternity home and you might place the baby but you don't really know you might have identifying information perhaps about the parents but really nothing else and that's not how it is at all today we have many of our former residents who I'm friends with all of them on Facebook and you know friends with them and in real life and there's pictures all over of them having Sunday dinners with with their child in the adoptive family really yes absolutely and the women now pick who they want so they get to say in their minds Ok who would be the most amazing parent for my baby and they get to tell us what they think and then they're presented profiles and they get to literally pick the parents of their baby and all of the women we serve if circumstances were different could be amazing moms some of them are to their other children but they're facing unfortunate circumstances in many cases and they're not in a position to be the best parent so. How liberating for a woman is that to be able to choose the best people to parent her child yeah wow. Monica what choice did you make that if you know whenever you made it you said you went there were 5 months of your pregnancy and I was 5 months ago so what choices were you struggling with with that what did you do ultimately decide to do sure so my ultimate choice was for dodgin I definitely support adoption I. Unfortunately was not able to choose adoption for my child because the father the child was going to contest that but I attempted to encourage him to consider that because I wanted him to. Think of the baby's best interest and place a baby in a stable 2 parent home I remember looking at profiles of family with another resident and being very hopeful that I could do that but. I am still not. It's still possibly an option to place the baby which I became informed of by the program up to 2 years or so so. With the Lamb of God I will continue to get support and if I need to be able to place babies then I will be supported in that. But so nothing is finalized at this point. Is there if you do want to speak on a cause that obviously every situation is a little bit different and there's you know a lot of things to consider balance here you know Monica's situation is externally unique. And I love that Monica's in a position where she is able to be supported in such kind of an unstable extenuating factors where she she her heart was the place when she came to me she knows that that would be the best option for her child but unfortunately in her case the father of the baby would make that really difficult to do and so we're just kind of working through that right now but as Monica said things can evolve we're going to continue to be there and who knows what will happen in the future with this month but you know we're going to work towards making sure that she's able to have the involvement that she should be able to house them and just the whole time just showering with love which is pretty rugged most what most women are lacking through these experiences right oh yeah I mean I love this quote that I read recently and it says that the answer to a crisis pregnancy is to eliminate the crisis not the child you know so. The mission of the Lamb of God maternity home is just to be an advocate for these women like how what better thing can you do for a child than to love her mother and. Monaco I got one last question for you I hope you guys can actually stick around because I have a bunch more questions actually but before we take a break Monica as you're looking at different parents right who want to adopt a baby what kind of parents are you looking at like what are some traits and characteristics that that you really want I'm sorry did you have a boy or girl. Girl Ok so what kind of parent are you looking for here for your baby girl. You know the profile were amazing there were so many amazing parents who wanted their child and it was unfortunate that there weren't enough babies for each of those families Honestly I couldn't choose between 3 that I was looking at because they were all so very amazing and yes these are only you know one dimensional appearance on paper or whatever but there were pictures of them and they were each still very detailed but. All of those families were very different they looked very different and so there's not a particular feeling that I would choose to say because of this or that they all were just so amazing and it would take such a long time to decide on one but I know that when I did or if I did I would be told the company my decision because I had the choice to make that decision and it was my choice and supported through that process with the lamb God Monica your awesome guys hang on if you can of of the chat a little bit more and talk about. People who aren't as fortunate as Monica Monica did you to go what did you think anyone would ever have when you 1st got pregnant and you were in a crisis pregnancy Did you ever think anyone would say people who weren't as fortunate as Monica right because right now you're in of you know what I'm fortunate situation right having found Lamb of God right yes did you ever think anyone would you would be in like the fortunate category. You know. In the Valley in the midst of all the turmoil. It's awesome. They kept the part about and had had an abortion quote as Paul share more about that every center had a goal for how many abortions were done and centers that didn't do abortions like mine that were family planning clinics had a goal for the number of abortion referrals. And it was on this big grid and if we had our goal. Our lying risk. If we were 5 percent under it was yellow if we were 10 percent under it was read that's when we needed to have a corrective action plan why we didn't have the goal what we're going to do differently next time so we were really very goal oriented I train my staff the way that I was training which was to really encourage women to choose abortion to have it planned parenthood because that counts you know towards our goal we would try to get the appointment scheduled for the abortion before they left our clinic we would say things like your pregnancy test your visit today is x. Number of dollars how much are you going to be able to pay towards that if they say I'm not able to pay today then we would say something like Well if you can't pay $10.00 today how are you going to take care of a baby have you priced diapers do you know how much it cost to buy a car seat where would you go for help there's no place in storm like or whatever town they were in you know where you can get help as a pregnant mom so really don't you think your smartest choice is term emotion. That is so you well that's so manipulative unreal there's a conus here she's the director of lamb of God maternity home they have a fundraiser coming up this Saturday Philip Rivers is on the board and Philip Rivers going to be there Lamb of God of eternity Home dot com and Monica is here she is a resident at at Lamb of God right now and just gave birth the other day and sounds amazing Sarah what do you think the number one reason is why why women in a crisis pregnancy choose abortion over any other option and the one that you and I were the one that lamb of God focuses on if you will is adoption but why do what you did the reasons are women choose abortion. Well I think because it's a quick fix. You know and it's obviously not a real fix but. Where were we want to we want to get rid of a problem and we have created a society in which we view pregnancy that isn't convenience or isn't in the timing that maybe we had planned as an inconvenience and so we're taught that we can just get rid of things that we don't like I was talking to someone pro-abortion the other day and they said I talked about pro-life pregnancy centers and things like places like Lamb of God and they said oh women don't need to be preached to at a time like this when he said that so so Lamb of God we are as I said we're really here for the woman and there is nothing more harmful and in my opinion to a woman been living with that regret of aborting her own child. And so we love these women so much that we want to educate them on all of their options so that they can make a life giving choice and make make a life giving decision for their child I mean what a greater gift you know you choose you choose that life for your child and then you get to live with a really great feeling that you did that imagine the regret that so many women are walking around with today knowing that they took the life of their own child and how that affects every aspect of their life we did a video series couple years ago and we had people come in to the studio and record video about the abortion that they've had or men that they pressured women to have and asked in some cases the 1st time they've ever told you when you were 5060 years old the 1st time ever told one and they bust out bawling just yeah falling because of the pain that they had all these years and never told anyone about it and you know that's a lot of it too I don't feel that a woman it's typically not heard who's wanting to do this it's not in our nature to want to take the life of our own child but we have so much pressure around us and when we talk about adoption all the time we have people say oh my gosh how could you do that you should just go have an abortion because it's so backwards think about that you know just go just go take the life of your child rather than giving your child an incredible life. Yeah it's it's it's it's shows how far we are from truth or reality where that that is the thing that's like that that's the the default thing to do yet is have a mom kill the baby what so what I mean what do you say though about the outside of baby it's whatever Champa cells are viable or whatever I would encourage anyone to to go look at an ultrasound You know I sat in on dozens and dozens and dozens of them and and to watch that mother see her child for the 1st time we've had women who have gone in and said I don't know my baby had fingers Oh Ok well then I'm choosing life yeah that's amazing Monica last question for you what was the the big thing you told your story and it was amazing what was the the big moment when you said you know what I'm going to do this I'm going to go all the way and I'm going to give birth to this baby girl was that moment it was a moment when I knew I didn't need to do it alone and that there was hope for me. Simple it's really sort of like every This happens to everyone when they're going through a difficult time everyone thinks that the only person it's ever happened to and I'm all alone it's this that's what the devil tells us right like we're all alone and there's nothing else that I can't do it myself so you learned that you're not all alone. That's great and I like I said I did not know that adoption was an option and I did also things like very said that abortion was a quick fix and that was a solution I was very much to let them go armed not thinking clearly and deciding that washing was the best option for me let's moniker mazing Let's save some lives guys this Saturday right Sarah the spaghetti dinner Yeah and then they get a dinner you know we really need all of your help to make this happen to be able to continue to to run the home of course the goal of the fundraiser is to create awareness but also our kind of campaign for this fundraiser is that we have a 2020 vision for this and it is his vision and our focus and we would love to be able to pay off the loan on our house by 2020 so that we can really concentrate our efforts on the work that we do within the home and opening more homes all over the country. Messed me up the police have all so dark side here at the moment so-called producer miles Eric has just been swapping around here just press the president ran to the station or if you're right I'm just wondering as someone who works there what do you think of that what is being aborted if you can hear the heartbeat What is that thing that's being aboard how you feel about that. Well abortion is a right in this country women have their own views on whether or not they want to be pregnant that is not a viable fetus at 5 and a half weeks anyone knows that but what specifically you think you were the country's biggest abortion provider if you can hear the heartbeat of this thing this fetus What is it is a piece of tissue or is it a separate human being I think that's up to each individual to decide what they believe but the reason it's a controversial place is it's because it's the country's biggest abortion provider and you're one of the people who run it and so I just want to know what you think if you can hear the fetal heartbeat and then it's extinguished What do you think of that is it a big deal or not to you and if not why not. Well I take seriously all of the health care work that we've provided planned there parenthood I believe in safe legal abortion I believe in each woman and individual I know but and so I'm not going to make a judgment but why can't you give me a straight answer this is at the core of what you do you're the biggest abortion provider in the United States it's not like you haven't thought of this what do you start with that is it I would say that if you feed a certain but what is the fee I was at the day that it is up to any change woman to decide whether you and I can differ on this all day Tucker I don't even do that because I only mean what you think we're not no I got out of that idea of using to say what you think is it a separate being or is it a piece of flat I'm going to say is that 70 percent of Americans believe that Roe v Wade should be the law of the land they believe that women should each individually be able to have their choices about what they want to do in their pregnancy a heart is beating you can hear it at 5 and a half weeks and the majority of your abortions take place after 5 and a half weeks so I want to know if that bothers you at all does it at all give a stop and think wow what is happening here is a life being taken people say life is being taken do you think that. I personally favor safe legal abortion in this country decided on by each individual woman and her doctor to decide for themselves I personally do not believe that that is a viable fetus at that point why are you really be really and laid out I'm asking you a human question and I hope you'll favor me with the human answer I'm not saying it's viable at 5 weeks it's not but you can hear the heartbeat is that a human being or not is it separate from the mother or not is different blood type often a different sex different d.n.a. It doesn't seem like a tumor or something that is connected to the woman holy It's just think what does that mean I would think you'd have thought about it considering you provide more of them than anyone I have you thought about it very much for myself but I am not going to project on to other women what I believe what I believe is that women have the right and the choice and we're going to leave it up to them so you get the idea less and there isn't anything anything to admit that. The human is not a human so you just saw some great a vision going on there I just think it's interesting that anyone even has to make the case that the baby is a human right how did. It On a human how did that become the default assumption and then I have to take a few minutes here to say well actually it is do you mean like why is that why is the default now it's not and I the burden of proof is on me and you and us have to believe to prove that it is and say ah well you know unique d.n.a. And unique blood type and sex in it's own harpy right we like we have to prove that it's a human what this could be that it's a human and Planned Parenthood should have to prove it's not. How can every human being not think well of course the human and then play imperative that we are those who have to come into our well here's all the reasons why it's not a human being that's how it's got to go and they can do this whole while it's not viable I'll tell you what my son is 5 months old 5 months old. So I know work today on the work right now stuff actually went to work today and we left I'm home alone for after that should be fine yeah those are the. 5. Total you can take care of yourself right when you can't you can't walk you know if you're walking or see do like a little crawl No it's not there's not not there yet he can roll over on his stomach that's good yeah I can roll back over that's the thing that's all right that is a sense of a deal but he'll be fine too I was a little cheese. Of ours were going on probably we were going to Steph and I were going to go to dinner tonight oh you're going to meet up after after work wearing some dinner I don't know 10 o'clock and so. I have the finances have him drive you Jack Jack Yeah yeah be good pick him up yeah I think I'll still be alive when the time you don't know you 5 months old he's not viable to die but 5 months old is not viable unless human beings I don't keep them alive you can't fend for yourself. 5 months all fend for yourself you're viable now right you were born you're now viable you're talking about that kind of world there's got to just get out there bro have you tough there are some dirt on gosh there's a lot of old people who aren't viable either are they no longer humans crazy abortion activists they draw this line of they think they can they can draw this line when a baby is viable or not viable and they can't really because like I said my 5 month old is not viable. And to be honest very honest abortion activists will even admit that a baby out of the womb should be you should be allowed to kill a baby even out of the womb too because it's not viable so it's disgusting obviously but intellectually consistent and honest at least. It proves how absurd that whole viable thing is you get some some very extreme although I like is that intellectually honest. Abortion activists who will say you can still kill a baby after it's born to. But they say they make up this viability line of like 30 weeks or whatever that is but they can't draw a line from one it's not a human to one it becomes a human like what point does this thing that's not human then turn into a human doesn't there's no one that was that point I'd love to know it's like Tucker said like one years ago from tumor to human when does it go from clump of cells to human there's no line they can draw it is there is no line it's the beginning it's the moment they're never called account on that they're never at called to draw an actual line so they take the we easy way out which is actually the hard way abortion is not easy on women like we talked about in the last. Segment take a break here but just remember story we did I think just in January just a couple weeks ago and scientists for all of human history have never seen human development from day 6 to 25 for all of human history and scientists were finally able to grow a human in a going to test tube in a petri dish to day 7 and then day 8 and then. It was a miracle they never done for the 10111213 day 14 and then they stop why there's no law to stop to do why because a day 14 to the scientists that's when it becomes too human. It's called the primitive streak it's when the cells start to line up in what into what becomes the spinal cord and scientists who you would think of become pretty desensitized to this right someone dealing with humans and Petri dishes every day but not to them to them Day 14. We're not going any further than that could they go to day 15 sure they didn't think they could go past day 6 but they did but at Day 14 they're done no one's going day 15 too close to fuck they got too far not going any further notice I've not mentioned to Jesus I've not mentioned God in this entire segment this is science science textbooks teach that life begins at conception I don't know how the pro-abortion crowd got science on their side science is on the pro life side. Has on the pro-life side 160 care family 10765362.
