the sheriff's headquarters is closed, for a vehicle sweep. this week a suspicious device left outside the nederland marshal's office. preliminary investigations indicate the device was an active ied but failed to detonate. authorities detonated the device in a controlled explosion after determining that they couldn't safely remove it. now federal and state authorities are trying to figure out who planted the device. federal investigators are released a preliminary report on the deadly new jersey transit train crash that happened last month. people who witnessed the crash said that the train didn't seem to try to stop, before it crashed into the hoboken, new jersey station, through a bumping post, and into a wall. but investigators say an emergency brake did happen less than a second before the collision. a woman was killed and 100 track structure, the conductors performance, and signal systems. a ground breaking is about to begin on a huge project in the rino area. it could make the area safer. the redevelopment project, is along brighton boulevard. fox 31's amanda zitzman was a preview of what we can expect. we are standing by for the groundbreaking ceremony to begin within boulevard from 29th down to 44 street more than two and a half miles of roadway. stretch of rhino bursting with new construction. apartments offices in restaurants shops ambergris. were crosswalks to connect it. a dangerous walk and they really do need improvement to keep up with all of that growth. the city will be adding new sidewalks dress socks and a bike lanes put in new traffic signals plus on street parking. they will brighten to be a good way to downtown denver area. 29 million-dollar project. groundbreaking starts at 1130 this morning they'll start construction and it will continue last week. things are starting to get better in some spots. the governor announced this morning that they've been able to restore power to a significant number of households. however, the federal government is still declaring disaster zones for dozens of counties. according to the governor, more than 2 million dollars have already been used as relief aid to help survivors. a new storm is moving in this hurricane nicole is headed right for bermuda. it's already sparked a hurricane warning for the island. look at that hurricane. that is well formed and big. it's expected to bring strong bridgate scandal from 2013 where lanes closed on the new jersey side of the george washington bridge during the height of rush hour during 2013. he has always denied he was involved or that it was politically motivated. if they will indict him. christie appointed the prosecutor in that case. two boston police officers are in bad shape this morning after being shot overnight. according to an update by the boston police commissioner this morning the officers are listed as being in extremely critical condition. the commissioner is also saying, the suspect in the shooting was carrying an assault rifle and police say, it started as a domestic violence call, and when officers came to the scene, the suspect opened fire. police shot and killed the suspect, two officers were also hit. the man facing attempted murder charges and other counts, for allegedly setting off bombs in new york city and new jersey, will be arraigned today. ahmad khan rahami is accused of detonating explosives last month in seaside park, new jersey and new york's chelsea neighborhood. blast in chelsea, no one was hurt in seaside park. rahami was wounded in a shootout with police. he will face a judge today via skype, from his hospital bed. sheriff's deputies in fremont county say they have found and destroyed some illegal marijuana. the grow they found weighed nearly 700 pounds. the fremont county sheriff's office posted this video to their facebook. and they wrote that deputies collected the 700 pounds of illegal marijuana in penrose. then to destroy it they burned it all. that's how they do 11:30 but it's likely going to come in the 60s with everyone else. 65 in liquid. almost 70 already down towards inglewood. and most temperatures like i said probably around 70 or so as we hit the bullish on how warm we stay. i went back this up a little bit. go down towards about mid- 40s and were going to warm other way to about mid- to upper 70s by noon tomorrow lower 80s as daytime highs. 81 degrees for our temperature in denver. going on later on the cb. 6:30 when it kicks off. san diego. like i said come on it san diego like the weather will be dot. it will look like we're looking this afternoon and the temperatures will preach similar to what were dealing with an denver. a sandy of the type day here in the mile high city and warms up even more as we had to the weekend. friday afternoon look at all of this warm air over us not just us. in colorado it extends into wyoming and far north as southern north dakota. that's how you know were you can believe it will get the 80s that far into the warm stuff. hangs around all the way through the weekend. monday may be the warmest day before another front rolls through and we do that temperature seesaw thing all over again. and we dropped from 85 on monday which will feel unbelievable for fall all the way down to about mid- 60s by tuesday. four days in a row about 80. i'm not complaining. that's crazy talk. it will happen. i man was on his motorcycle when he spotted a truck stolen from his family owned dealership. that our truck. so instead of calling 911 he decided to live stream on facebook. in the video he asked other cupcake mister president. customers started leaving bad reviews on yelp saying the name is inappropriate. the owner says she didn't intend for the cupcake to seem racist at all. and apparently said
