He received a lot of educational materials from japan. He says he felt many people there were looking out for him. Translator the tsunami left me devastated. But the support from japan helped me overcome the painful memories of losing my family members. Its helped to make aceh strong. Its time for us to support japanese people. Reporter three years ago he teamed up with a japanese npo to create Exchange Events between children in banda aceh and japan. Twice a year, his group sends drawings to tsunami hit areas in northeastern japan. They show the every day lives of children in aceh. He also helped his students to make a video showing how banda aceh is rebuilding after the disaster. Translator hello. This is the school where i study japanese. It was rebuilt after the tsunami in 2004. Reporter his counterpart in japan ask both groups of children to paint what they hope their cities will look like in the future. Widespread delays, even the car pile up. The reports really speak for themselves. Some areas seeing about 70 centimeters in total of snowfall here. Even 30 to 50 back towards the north. That combined with the very gusty winds up to 90 miles an hour does maybe for travel. White out conditions as well and chilly conditions too. As we look ahead, High Pressure will come in from the west. Our precipitation will start to taper off. That will be bringing clear skies heading through the rest of our friday into saturday. You get the ice built up and weighs them down and they often fall on these power lines. When were talking about ice storms, you typically think you have snow and rain and in the middle we have sleet. What freezing rain is you have the upper atmosphere. Theres the shallow cold is up zero air near the surface. Valleys which is a problem in New Brunswick area. That super cools that rain. Temperature is below zero in the water. It doesnt freeze just yet. It freezes when it hits the surface. It causes all sorts of problem. Rather beautiful but a dangerous situation. Back towards the west we have another storm system coming in the pacific west. It moves out here toward the east crossing the mid plains. I want to mention whats going on out here across europe.
