Oh my gosh I can't talk I'm so sorry I was born October 1905 so I made my playlist all tracks ever released before I was born I think that the most recent track I have on my playlist was released September 1905 I want to say but it's a solid mix of punk music it's very feel like a collective as you can see from the last track in the track before it the next one minute play for you is a song called mad a Lucas by a band called the breeders off of their 993 album Last Splash Last Splash. Became really popular because. Of the breeder's song cannonball one is release like hit the top charts is number one of the top charts for a long time so last flash got a lot of popularity back then however to this day as a lot of people don't know the rest of the album they mean we just know cannonball but that song's also popular here for Casey a species so I stuck with one of my favorite tracks from the album Like I said it's called Matt Lucas and Elise Sarah she actually wrote it about a homeless man that she interacted with often that live outside of her apartment so it's kind of interesting to know a little bit of the backstory and then when you're listening to the song just kind of interpret how she few him maybe I don't now don't get too deep into it I don't know too much but that's just all I know about it I guess that it's next song is called Mad Lucas by the breeders here on the c.s.b. . Finally when they 1st got together a lot of them didn't really have too much musical experience they just wanted to play music which in essence is what punk is you know nobody really cares about your musical background about the passion that you put behind music and the ladies of The Raincoats you know they just wanted to play music and they caught the eye of so many bands like The Clash Sex Pistols Kurt Cobain Sonic Youth Kurt Cobain and Sonic Youth actually helped. Helped write and produce for their last 3 albums of the raincoats were gone and so that's kind of cool to see like how the band that started with 0010 both the little musical experience just put their full hearts and passion into it and you know other musicians saw that and they wanted to get involved they did really cool but I want to definitely play something off of their 1st album just to understand like where they began is very very raw a lot of I like how they have the violin a lot of people when you're like look at reviews of the raincoats they talk about their use of the violin and how like that was so bizarre back then but actually. Definitely one of the darker albums very hits heavy into the. Just psychologically everything that the alcoholic was going through as far as like self-hatred and Gil in pity and just almost I don't know it's cool I was once I felt a little bit before I played the song just because it's good to know before hearing it but you know I'm playing all music that was released before 1905 I love doing this playlist I love the research that I get to do with it and kind of see all these different artists that help helped inspire the bigger punk groups that we know to this day like I said like the Sex Pistols a clash and Kurt Cobain who was such a big fan of. The Raincoats like he was such a diehard fan for them is really it's really cool to see but you know we don't know too much about the big artists and who they really research before they became the big artist that we know them as so that's why I like doing this playlist.
