A new Des Moines Register poll released yesterday shows texas senator ted cruz leading longtime frontrunner donald trump. Cruz sits 10 points higher at 31 percent, in this poll of a little more than 400 iowa republicans. Trump is still in 2nd place, with 21 percent support. Dr. Ben carson, who once held now in 3rd place with 13 percent. Florida senator marco rubio runs in 4th place. He is the only other candidate in the field of 13 who is in the double digits, with 10 percent support. Cruz has gained momentum over the past 30 days.
