The Iowa City Community School District cut classes two hours early today because of heat. Superintendent Stephen Murley made the decision after touring two schools yesterday, and felt some classrooms were too hot for students and teachers to focus. He says some kids went to the nurse because they felt faint. He also says it felt 20 degrees hotter in the classrooms than it did outside. District is addressing that.
