"branstad: the spirit has been great. you can see people coming together neighbors and friends and the communities are disaster declaration here frees up some grant money to help lower-income families. if there's enough total damage, federal funds might also become available. meanwhile, plenty of examples like the inwood ballroom show communities are already pitching in to help themselves. "well, for one thing at a school you can usually pick out who the kids are. where in a employee is, and who's not. "the concern was the neonatal center. " hawkeye athletics officials say they simply can't disrupt babies, or anyone else at the hospital.. "there's people in the hospital right now checking the sound, i haven't had a phone call, so so far so good. " the end goal of the concert -- is to raise money for iowans impacted by disasters. former hawkeye and organizer dallas clark says he for each other. "we are excited to see what comes from this epic night at kinnick stadium, and we think we're going to do a lot of good in the state of iowa.
