"the challenge now the work we're finding now is finding the individuals to do the work for so that's part of what this fundraiser is out is makininpeople aware of who we are and what we do. "whether you're an engineer or a stay at home mom, i believe god has given you gifts to help people out." ingrid got the call to cut via she saw this video about a team of trimmers doing the same ththg in ogden, utah. "i thought, 'why can't we do something like this in cedar rapids?' as soon as i posted it i got so many stylists saying, i'm in, i'm in." a team of eight, to be exact. in about three hours time, they lopped off the locks of more than 40 people. blake wagner was one of them. a lot of his hair is no longer there. "all together, maybe two and seven eighths. almost three full inches." though blake isn't homeless, he says a free haircut really does help. he doesn't just look better, but feels better, too. "it's love. they gave me love." that love came at cost to the stylists. they know their way around clippers. many charge 40 bucks for just a bit off the top. so, it means a lot that they'd give up a saturday.
