"even though the officer was almost struck under any circumstances we don't condone that type of behavior that's why we issued an internal investigation and ultimately disciplined the officer" " trelka did not go into the details of that discipline. but he says it was significant make a bust in a human trafficking case, they're now saying a baby is involved. on monday, lawrence campbell appeared in court on human trafficking charges. authorities say campbell ordered two 16 year old girls to engage in prostitution and steal clothes. yesterday, police say one of the 16-year-old girls brought her baby to waterloo. officers say someone dropped off the baby at fire station 5 when the girls were questioned by police. firefighters were at authorities say the baby was fine, and had plenty of food and clean diapers. "the child has been reunited with her mother and everyone is back safe in chicago land." police believe the girls were in waterloo for about a week. friends and family are remembering a dubuque woman who was brutally murdered and raped. the crime happened one year ago yesterday. the victim, nancy krapfl , was 66. last night, her family and friends held a the attack on the church secretary happened while she was on a morning walk. she died later at a dubuque hospital. kcrg t-v nine's samantha myers was at the vigil last night where people remembered nancy krapfl's life. people gathered in jackson park to remember a life lost almost a year ago. "as we remember nancy this evening we are also senseless violence in the world today." senseless violence that happened to a beloved family member... ""she was always more interested in knowing what we were doing, what our kids were doing, what my dad was doing" " and to a neighbor.... ""those steps when it happened there's still melted candle on those steps. every time i leave my house i have to go that way and you see that every time it's a reminder every single day." " "people who live here in the neighborhood say it hasn't been the same since." " the water is usually calm on the gulf and it almost looked like the atlantic side. it was just pounding waves. "we will be asking the federal and state govt for additional funds as we move on in this fight against zika. but that doesn't mean we are stopping any of our efforts waiting for those funds to happen. we have the funds necessary in order to combat zika. " zika causes mild symptoms in most pe defects for pregnant women. american's perspectives on marijuana are changing, according to a new report. this week, n-i-h researchers found that more people are admitting to using the drug, and fewer believe it is harmful. the report showed in 2002, half of americans thought marijuana was harmful. but only a third of americans felt that way in 20-14. researchers say the change in opinion could be due in part to marijuana states and washington d-c. even though opinions are changing, many health experts say the blunt truth is...all types of smoke inhalation can have long term side effects. many of us have to have that cup or two of coffee to get going in the morning. and the reasoning behind that coffee craving might be in your d- n-a. mary moloney has more in today's health minute. whether you need a pick- me-up at work or just happen to be a latte lover ... new research suggests that your espresso habits may actually be published in the journal scientific reports.. found that people with a newly identified genetic trait called p-d-s-s-2.. drank less coffee than those who didn't have the trait. the author of the study believes the new gene impacts coffee consumption by the speed the caffeine is being metabolized in the body. researchers collected medical and genetic data from more than 1200people living in southern and in northeast italy. the study was also conducted to a group of roughly 17-hundred people in netherlands and the studies that link food with genetics can help in understandin g the science behind people's eating and drinking habits .. and hopefully lead to solutions that can help change some of our bad choices. for today's health minute, i'm mary moloney. one day, iowans could see moving tractors without anybody in them. one booth at the farm progress show is testing out self-driving tractors. stay with t-v nine. geiger. ---- there's self-driving cars being tested on the roads.. and now.. there's self driving tractors being tested in the fields.. at the farm progress show.. i headed to the case ih booth where they're surveying farmers by tractor that drives itself. it doesn't even have a cab.. but from an office computer or tablet a farmer could run the vehicle.. to do a pre- programmed route or task. on the front is radar and camera technologies that will stop for animals or debris and then let the farmer make decisions.. and it's new technology like this that can let a farmer rethink their operation. "well when you take a look at driver-less, you're taking this technology and you're scaling it either large or small. this allows them to look at efficiencies in their operations. so that means i can take this vehicle and be in the same grain in and could be doing a tillage operation for a grain cart, so it allows me to two for one meaning you used to have maybe two operators and now you can have that one operator supervise multiple other vehicles in that field." bose says case ih is looking for input from producers on the idea.. and says they can fill out a survey on case ih dot com.. ---- the u-s justice department does not want deere and company to buy monsanto's precision lawsuit to stop it.. the justice department says the deal would violates antitrust laws. deere announced it will fight the lawsuit.. calling the antitrust concerns misguided.. last year monsanto announced the sale of its precision planting unit to deere.. in a deal estimated at a hundred and 90 million dollars. ---- cattle are struggling at the start of the month.. while corn and wheat are seeing some nice gains.. "bottom line this is life- threatening. sot mos "we bought cases of water." "even though the officer was almost struck under any circumstances we don't condone that type of behavior that's why we issued an internal investigation and ultimately disciplined the officer" " trelka did not go into the details of that discipline. but he says it was significant make a bust in a human trafficking case, they're now saying a baby is involved. on monday, lawrence campbell appeared in court on human trafficking charges. authorities say campbell ordered two 16 year old girls to engage in prostitution and steal clothes. yesterday, police say one of the 16-year-old girls brought her baby to waterloo. officers say someone dropped off the baby at fire station 5 when the girls were questioned by police. firefighters were at authorities say the baby was fine, and had plenty of food and clean diapers. "the child has been reunited with her mother and everyone is back safe in chicago land." police believe the girls were in waterloo for about a week. friends and family are remembering a dubuque woman who was brutally murdered and raped. the crime happened one year ago yesterday. the victim, nancy krapfl , was 66. last night, her family and friends held a the attack on the church secretary happened while she was on a morning walk. she died later at a dubuque hospital. kcrg t-v nine's samantha myers was at the vigil last night where people remembered nancy krapfl's life. people gathered in jackson park to remember a life lost almost a year ago. "as we remember nancy this evening we are also senseless violence in the world today." senseless violence that happened to a beloved family member... ""she was always more interested in knowing what we were doing, what our kids were doing, what my dad was doing" " and to a neighbor.... ""those steps when it happened there's still melted candle on those steps. every time i leave my house i have to go that way and you see that every time it's a reminder every single day." " "people who live here in the neighborhood say it hasn't been the same since."
