The district says it cleaned the area where they found asbestos and tested the air afterward. The dnr report said the district was initially reluctant to close the school over the summer due to the asbestos problems and in firing the Asbestos Removal company. The district says it used immediate and appropriate measures to address the situation. The dnr is pursuing legal action against the district and the Asbestos Company it hired, abatement specialties. Ottumwa police got an arrest warrent earlier this week, charging Kashenna Tucker with murder. They had been investigating wysdom evans case since the little boy died at uihc in january of 2014.
