One of those came in january when the city Million Dollar settlement with the family of Derrick Ambrose junior. A Police Officer shot and killed him during a foot chase in 2012. Ambrose was 22. The city also settled three other cases recently. In one of them, an officer is accused of slamming a 17 year old boy facefirst onto a sidewalk outside a hospital. An open records request shows the city paid the teenager to keep him quiet about a settlement. In another incident, the same he then used it to allegedly shock a 31 yearold man who was helping with crowd control. And a third incident involved a 13yearold girl whom officers allegedly handcuffed. In all three cases, the Police Department justified the use of force. Meteorologist chris havely joins us now.
