afternoon. officers responded to 508 5th street around 3:45 after reports of multiple gun shots. while police investigated the scene, two people showed up at the hospital with gun shot injuries. police say the shooting is part of an ongoing fight and this was not random. if you have any information on this case, you're asked to call coralville police. now to our top story, a couple is looking to reunite a dog with its owners after they say it river. about a week ago the family saw the dog struggling in the fast moving mississippi while they were camping at the big h campground. it sits along the river near cassville. they have no idea how long the dog was in the water. kcrg-tv9's samantha myers spoke to the couple who has the dog. samantha, how is the dog doing? the dog has recovered and is doing just fine. today i spoke with the wisconsin couple who says they just want to reunite their 25th wedding anniversary when they spotted a beagle. 05:54:44 ""we were sitting by our cabin outside and this little dog came in, this little beagle came in from the mississippi river. she was very wet and hungry" " the river's water's were higher than normal. 05:59:00;08 "the river came right up to the road so we think that maybe she fell out of a boat maybe or it got swept away" " there, the family just wants her to find her family. 05:58:13;26 "i wish we knew more about her" 05:58:18;19 "we do know that she's a house dog and somebody has taken good care of her" the stoney's discovered the dog is deaf. a veterinarian could not determine whether or not the flood waters damaged her hearing, but the family says it doesn't deter the dog from daily activities. 05:56:19;20 she's just adorable, she's so good. they've named her annie for now and say the name fits her. 06:07:25;08 "the night that she was cute to name her annie for anni-versary and it kind of fit the whole orphan annie too." the stoney family still wants to reunite annie with her owners. they say a lot of people have offered to adopt her, but they want to see if they can track them down first. i put their email on our website at kcrg.com thanks sam. a statue now stands in coralville in honor of long time hawkeye football coach hayden fr. fryfest organizers unveiled the bronze likeness this morning. coach fry even got a little emotional to see the statue today. he says this will likely be the last year he attends the event. steve maxon says this is the first time he's sculpted a living person. he had just one opportunity to meet with coach fry to learn as much as he could to create his piece of art.
