"some just want to talk and just share what their experience is, and what they're going through. just to let them know that there's somebody else that cares about them."" the salvation army members will be in the parking lot of the bank in spillville through the weekend. today, governor branstad issued a disaster proclamation after flash flooding in five northeast iowa counties. they are allamakee, clayton, fayette, howard and winneshiek counties. these counties can now use state money to help with flooding response and recovery efforts. governor branstad and lieutenant governor kim reynolds will tour flood damage in winneshiek county tomorrow. 9:15. they will then head to inwood ballroom in spillville around 10:15. and will go to fort atkinson around 11 o'clock. we'll have complete coverage of the governor's visit to northeast iowa, as well as flood recovery efforts, on-air and online tomorrow. in other news tonight, police say someone with a gun is robbing delivery drivers in coralville. police have responded to four armed robberies at apartment complexes in the last two weeks. 20th and 22nd avenues and ninth and 10th streets. police believe the robber is a black man, between 18 and 21 years old. they say he wears all black and sometimes has a bandana over his face. we have an update on a story we reported last week. coralville will not put down a dog that bit a woman. but the owner won't get the dog back. the dog, roman, is an 18 month old beauceron . the d owner, tom henson, agreed to micro-chipping and neutering the dog. then it'll go through training in north carolina. some of you may have noticed an unusual political sign on first avenue in cedar rapids. ' a billboard near sixth street reads, "moving to canada? i'll sell your house!" the sign is an ad for realtor cory barnard . it features caricatures of presidential candidates donald trump and hillary clinton. barnard says the goal is to get light of a heated election season. barnard says he's already received dozens of phone calls. " and i think that's why everybody who's called so far just gets a kick out of how funny it is with the current election " the billboard will be up through election day. the food pantry in coralville will now be able to help more people in need. that's because it has more space in its new home... the old post office. and a dubuque native receives quite the homecoming after compein olympics. stay with us. the coralville food pantry is post office. today, the pantry held its grand opening at the new location. workers say they needed a bigger space to keep up with the growing demand for food. so the pantry has moved into the old post office at 420 tenth avenue. it's just a few blocks away from the old location at 203 first street. it took months to renovate the old post kcrg t-v nine's jordee kalk went to tonight's grand opening. jordee, how does it look? bruce and beth, it looks great. with a couple fresh coats of paint and some major renovations, the facility looks brand new. i spoke with john boller who's the executive director of the food pantry. he says the pantry looks better than he ever anticipated, and he credits the coralville community for pitching in. 52:34, "access to food is a human right and sadly there's too many in our food."john boller is passionate about his work. 52:50, "the best way to address that issue is to work together." he says this is exactly what's happening here, in coralville. 47:31, "initially when we took over the lease of this building we thought it would be pretty minimal of what we need to do to get in here." it's a complete remodel. 50:27, "this is a fun new chapter." donors helped cover all renovation costs. nat? and much of the construction was done by student volunteers. thomas were a lot of long days, but i had fun doing it." boller: 49:54, "i'd say about twice as much space as we had last time." more room allows the pantry to simulate a grocery store experience for its clients. 48:10 "people go through pick the items that work best for them and their family members then our volunteers help bag groceries and send them on their way" boller claims the new space will draw more people to the pantry. 48:29, "i think a big part of that is visibility, it's on a city. and the number of visitors, this week alone, confirm his belief. 48:51, "we had about 160 visits on tuesday and usually our tuesday average is about 100." boller says the pantry helps about 850 families a year. the only requirement to visit the pantry is to be a coralville resident. bruce and beth, the pantry is always looking for volunteers and donations. anyone who is interested should call the pantry or just stop by. many different types of food found in iowa city. the city's downtown district held the 10th annual taste of iowa city, which featured more than 40 restaurants. organizers say it all started as a way to introduce new university of iowa students to the local restaurants. but it's now a community- wide event. turning back to
