"oh it's important to these kids, the community. these are the competitions that they've been competing in the past. it's become quite the tradition for them. it's pretty special to be able to bring these two championships back to burnett, along with the two individual titles. let's talk about the duals title. it was a thriller. lisbon was up one, but after a penalty point you guys were t td. the tiebreaker was the penalty points. what sort of emotions were going through during that time when everything was being sorted out? "actually, i didn't even know there was a penalty point. it was a news to me and one of my assistants knew there was a penalty point, it just wasn't taken off the scoreboard. that last match was over and we thought we lost. they changed it over and it was quite the emotional roller coaster. lisbon was cheering you know, alburnett's going crazy. so it was an emotional roller coaster,r,ut it was a really fun dual." you also won the traditional title and what helped was having two state champions. let's start with connor shulista at 152. he took 2nd last year and was determined to win it all this year. he beat the one wrestler who beat him earlier this season. "he was wrestling and we had a home tournament, he was beating that kid 9-3 and was tilting him, and just got pinned. so going into this match, we felt confident in that he could get this win for us. not only that, we were down .5 point going into that match. there's nobody else that i'd rather have out there to, one, win an individual state title for himself. but two, to lock up the team title for us." tanner sloan also won a state title at 170. he's just a sophomore. what did he do to win it all?
