A Career Center could open up an entirely new learning experience for students in waterloo. Kids get to see what it would actually be like in a career. So, theyre not just reading about it or being told about it, they actually get a chance to experience it. This is the area where the new Career Center would be built. Its right next to Central Middle School and the district already owns the land. The district has spent the last three and a half years studying other communities and districts who have a similar center. Results show students in this type of program have higher attendance and Graduation Rates and are more engaged. Students just dont miss school when theyre highly engaged. We just think that it would be a great opportunity for our students to be engaged at higher levels and our teachers to really tap into their passion.
