it was a pretty tense courtroom. he remains a person of interest. he faced the judge for that separate case, the shooting d afternoon in aurora. now draper was arrested sunday around -- just afternoon when he carjacked a woman at gunpoint and went on a shooting spree and fired his gun in four separate times. he pointed a loaded gun at police and a chasten sued. fortunately, nobody was hurt. he remains a shooter of interest. her name was ashley ross draper. she was found shot to death in her apartment in aurora. although the hearing was about the shooting and car chase, her entire family was present. he has not been charged with her murder but they wanted to be present for her. that is what they told the attorney to say this afternoon. draper had many family members present well. definitely a tense environment, sitting on opposite sides of the court room, neither wanting to foe on camera to talk to the media. his bond was set for $300,000. he is facing aggravated burglary and murder. the judge says he has at least seven prior felony convictions in this state. this will be along court case for him. his family said they will be attending this standing by his support on his suspicious. this after police took her husband, a local pastor into custody last night. the woman's body was found in her home on east andrews drive near 46th. neighbors say the been sick. police say there will be an autopsy today. they showed some incredible fog over the denver metro area this morning. there you see not much of anything really. pretty opaque from this perspective. the fog, and strong winds continue to fan the flames. before we hit colorado weather, we want to talk about what is happening. tropical storm julia is making headlines today, because it is bringing a lot of ra the florida coast. where is it headed next? is fortunately this is not going to move very quick. they will see up to ten inches of rain. that is off the coast and bringing a lot of rain to the charleston area and parts of south carolina. this is the first tropical cyclone being named over florida because it was over land at that time. you can see how intense the rain has been and this is near brunswick, georgia, intense awhile so they have had downs tree limbs and power outages and an isolated tornado certainly possible there. look at that intense rain and that wind there. for us, our beautiful view from denver. skies arguably. are blue. right now, let's check out the current situation. we have a lot of lightning in the southern part of the state and thrs through moffitt county and more in the southern area and near trinidad. we had some really intense rainfall -- hail, an inch and a half. there is a lot of agriculture in this state. hopefully the animals are okay. we have snow right now in parts of the san juans and lightning in that area as well. bigger storms. city, pueblo, south, a lot of lightning there. we're getting rainfall there, as well getting close to the montrose area and thunderstorms set to roll through. gusty winds in the areas gets storms. the winds near rifle, aspen, 25ish miles an hour. we have winds town 40 miles an hour and out east into the plains as well. severe weather goes from moffitt county down south and then out east into this includes the front range, denver area. hail will be a huge threat. if you get a storm, you could get intense hail. we're looking at heavier rainfall and wind. we have the chance of some of these storms heading to the denver area this afternoon and evening. could see them as early as 2, 3:00. as they move out east, they could pick up a bit more steam and you could get bigger hail high country during the evening. this will clear out tonight and then tomorrow, severe thunderstorms. maybe just a few isolated showers here across the denver area, so not as intense tomorrow. much warmer outside than yesterday. 13degrees warmer in denver and greeley. that puts us at 71 in denver. 66 as we head towards 75 in denver. 77 greeley. 72 out in burlington. the high country, a lot of 60s. 78 grand junction. tomorrow we're down to about 75ish degrees. 72 on friday. similar tomorrow temperature- wise. saturday a little warmer and a chance for storms. sunday is much drier and we'll be warmer outside. we're going to head back to the 80s to end the weekend. >> it has been an energy rush feeling.
