Reporter this afternoon 911 was called again for a man with a gun in front of a starbuck that was the coffee shop on University Hill or one inside the University Memorial center which is on campus. So that building was put on another active shooter situation. And many people fled in the chaos. In the end, no threats were found. A Boulder County joint Investigation Team is now looking into this officer involved shooting. We do not know the identity of the man who was allegedly carrying that weapon. The latest on that wildfire southwest of pueblo, the beulah hill fire is now 50 contained. Some of the several hundred evacuees were allowed back on this afternoon. Officials say a better look at the area puts the acreage burn now at 4800. A little smaller than previously thought. The fire broke ou a popular bagel shop will soon reopen. Months after it shut down due to a fire. Rosenbergs bagels in denvers five points neighborhood will be reopening on sunday october 16. Closed back in may when a fire broke out in the apartment above the shop. Firefighters found the body of the young man 29yearold Shane Richardson inside. Investigators believed the fire was set to cover up his murder. Brian Brian Patterson was arrested for the crime. Last night mayor Connie Sullivan confirmed federal authorities were granted access to official documents related to Flood Recovery funds. The town was granted 36 million after severe floods tore through the area three years ago. Audit by the department of comply with fema guidelines when contracting repairs and finished projects. Without fema approval. Unclear if the investigation is related to those findings while some residents are not surprised to learn about the investigations, others say they didnt see it coming. The box says a centurylink it but until today this homeowner says he couldnt get anyone to claim that this was their work to finish. We tried to go it because this is a big hole in the ground. And they said that nobody from centurylink came to this backyard to do that installment. Program he and his family are frustrated. They say theres now a big mystery as to who should finish installing this utility box in their backyard. The stickers say centurylink but he says Customer Service reps have told them they didnt do the work. They said nobody that was employed by them came here and tower. Reporter when technicians came here to access the box, they said they would finish the job the next day but never came back. Its now been at least two months and 20 phone calls later for this aurora family. They were exposed underground wires are a safety issue especially with children playing in the backyard. We called centurylink and they say they are looking into the situation. Centurylink the Company Either cant keep their own employees or somehow is letting their equipment fall into nonemployees hands and they are doing something with it. Reporter now in a statement late today that we received around 530 the company says it has been denied access and cant fix that problem but they say they will complete that work very soon. The generous donation to a canine thats working in Summit County. You also see moisture streaming into the state even a few lightning strikes. We will see much cooler weather. Happening now a soldier at fort carson desperately trying to get his dog back. It was given away while he was off training. Steve munoz left his German Shepherd with a munoz was out at fort irwin in california. He had limited communication while there. Didnt know ace has escaped out of the dog sitters yard. Some woman saw him, he had a collar and brought him in. And reported it to the military police. A kennel in fountain has a contract with fort carson to take in found animals. The dog sitter tried to get ace back explaining the dogs owner was at training but since she didnt have ownership documents, and munoz couldnt after five days per policy. Fort carson is now trying to contact aces new owner to see if theyll return the dog to munoz. A Summit County canine will be better protected while on duty. He now has a protective vest thanks to a generous donation. Mountain newsroom reporter Matt Kroschel explains why this vest is so important. Reporter the bond between handler and canine is strong. He does it all. Weve been together since 2015. Reporter danny is viewed not just as a dog his job is to be on the front line for us reporter but as a fellow officer. And it helps when theres a group out there that cares so much that have never even met danny. And they are willing to donate. Reporter vested interest is providing vests for canines across the country. Run about 2500. And they are good for about five years. The ballistic paneling in them. At least a half Million People along the east coast are being sold to evacuate right eastbound lanes of one interstate in charleston. So the only traffic is westbound. Away from the coast. Right now want to give you a look at that hurricane from space. Massive at least 16 deaths in the caribbean, already blamed on this huge storm. Meteorologist Lauren Whitney is tracking the hurricane from colorados weather center. Where is it right now . Bahamas as it moves to parts of cuba it lost steam and bounced down to category three. As it moves through warmer waters is dissipated to ramp up a bit and go back to category four. Were watching the track of this and it could get very, very close to the coast even if it doesnt make landfall the eastern side of florida could see some pretty devastating rain, severe storms and also the wind could be nasty because the wind extends 160 miles from the eye so even if it doesnt make landfall the winds and storm surge could still quote cause quite a bit of damage. Impact into florida to night through friday morning making its way up to parts of South Carolina by saturday. South carolina is prepping as well but the whole area is really going to see even if it doesnt make landfall quite a bit of activity so the path is still a little bit uncertain as it is making its way through the bahamas. Along the east coast and up towards the carolinas. Again flooding is going to be a huge concern and also a lot of damage to the coast. Airlines are already canceling flights to florida.
