as we get it. live in unincorporated arapahoe, lauren dispirito. >> we've also posted picture of the fire and home video on cbsdenver.com. you can watch it now. police say he is tied to terror. this is the man who planted bombs in new york and new jersey over the weekend. >> only on 4, we have exclusive video of the suspect on night of the bombing, wheeling that bomb behind him. investigators piecing together just how the bomber carried out his attack and why. >> the pressure cooker bomb blew up in new york's chelsea neighborhood. a second pressure cooker bomb did not explode. this all happened after a bomb blew up outside seaside park, new jersey. right now, kenneth gregg reporting in from linden, new jersey, after reports of that arrest. >> reporter: it's safe to say a really breathing a sigh of relief tonight. after authorities caught had man on the street just hour after they released his name. bombing suspect amed khan rahami had been on the run since saturday's bombing in jersey city and the new york shower. >> we have directly new york and new jersey. >> reporter: he was caught on surveillance video near the explosion in chelsea that last 29 people injured. >> we have ever reason to believe this was an act of terror. >> reporter: authorities say rahami was sleeping in the door of a local bar when two officers confronted him. they say he shot one of those officers, then took off running. >> we did return fire to the suspect, striking him several times and taking him down. >> reporter: early monday, the jersey, and collected evidence. investigators also collected a a backpack filled with bombs at a nearby train station, including one that a robot detonated. so far, authorities say there is no indication rahami is part of a cell. >> i think it's important to remember what terrorists and violent extremists are trying to do. they are trying to hurt innocent people. but they also want to inspire fear in >> reporter: police have detained at least five others in connection with the bombings. not too long ago, we found out officials here in new jersey have officially charged this man. he's facing five different charges. those federal charges are still pending related to terrorism. jim and karen. >> you mentioned, one of the officers was hurt in that shootout. how is that person doing now? >> reporter: republican senator lauren woods is back on the facebook saturday. >> he was going to shoot me and my family in the face, and if we knocked on his door, he would deliver a bullet to the head. >> reporter: woods immediately called police. 21-year-old dylan woods of arvada was arrested. woods, her volunteers, and supporters are avoiding the area where woods lives as a precaution. thsp not have a gun in their home. in hopkins' page, many of his posts do have to do with politics. >> i do have a lot of empathy for them. >> reporter: woods says in her two sessions of serving she has never been threatened. >> this was a threat of physical violence against my family. i live with my husband, but law and a grand child. the kinds of things he said has taken this who a whole new level. >> reporter: and the bond is pretty low in this case. it was set at $1,000. the suspect's parents do have to cosign for that bond, there is also a protective order in place for the senator, and the suspect will be back in court on october 12. live in jefferson county, jennifer brice, cbs4 news. right now, new develo rose medical center. denver police say they have found no evidence that any shots were fired at the hospital. the building went on lockdown. police think that after that, they heard doors slamming inside the hospital which may have sounded like gunfire. police did recover grainy surveillance footage of that man that may or may not have had a gun. >> it doesn't look at this made it into the hospital. was carrying something that could have been a pellet gun, a bb gun, really can't tell from the video. >> the hospital was on lockdown for several hours as police searched room to room. you see them all around colorado this time of the year. chili pepper venders, but one has been burning hot over possibly being ousted from her denver location at south broadway, and alameda. kathy ross joins us from the parkint albertson's, kathy?
