? enough. yea, i'm over it. genders don't play sports. athletes do. ,,,, washington is broken. a draft bill by scott tipton was largely written by tipton's biggest campaign contributor. even worse, tipton's plans threaten thousands of recreation industry jobs. gail schwartz will protect colorado's public lands, jobs, and our rural way of life. gail schwartz -- independent leadership for colorado. house majority pac is responsible an overnight shooting along colfax in denver's capitol hill neighborhood leavings one dead and another injured. good evening, i'm kathy walsh. thank you for joining us. cbs4's brian maass is live in the capitol hill neighborhood near the location of that shooting. brian. >> reporter: denver police say they are looking for one man in connection with what happened 2:00 this morning. they say the man opened fire on a couple of other men. he hit both of them. one of them was pronounced dead at the hospital. the second is hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries at this point in time. what happened here on colfax, these gunshots, one in a series of gunshot incidents that happened in denver overnight. police say it started as a disturbance, escalating to shooting. >> investigators are working to piece together e it, as well as to try to identify who the suspect is. >> reporter: and at the time of this shooting, there were also shots being fired across denver. >> my grandma woke me up because she said she heard gunshots, one in the morning. >> reporter: near 31st and lafayette, he said his grandmother woke him up after shots. >> around 8:00 or 9:00. she doesn't remember, it was 1:00 in the morning. >> reporter: gunshots? heard the shots too. >> made me feel unsafe. >> reporter: it happens often enough in his neighborhood that he show me how they hit the deck. >> we turn off the tv and lights and hit the floor. >> reporter: residents woke up to find these flyers from denver police letting them know there was overnight gunfire in their neighborhood, too. >> it's very scary and that's when you turn off the lights and in west denver 18 years and says the shooting has gotten worse. >> little scary, cause the neighbor that used to live in the third door had a bullet go through her kitchen window. >> reporter: while bullets found their mark here, in other neighborhoods he worry it's only a matter of time. >> pretty scary. because usually there's a lot of criminals around here or action. >> reporter: denver police say if you have any information on what happened out here on colfax early this morning, or any of the other gunshot incidents around denver to call crimestoppers or denver police. live from capitol hill, brian maass. the broncos are back in action tomorrow against tampa bay. kickoff 2:05 p.m. here on cbs4. michael spencer in now, and it's a tale of two quarterbacks tomorrow. have been starting at quarterback who have taken different paths to the nfl. you start with winston. he was the number one overall pick in the 2015 draft. trevor siemian was 150th. most people thought trevor would never play. possibly the only thing they have in common is they'll be on the same field tomorrow afternoon. trevor inherited the team that james. when winston took over the bucks, they had not won many. >> i have a respect for jameson, marcus and those guys getting thrown in that position and i'm happy for them. >> trevor is a florida guy, so it's a bit of a homecoming for him. he said this week his brother is going to be the one in charge of we'll have more on the homecoming of talib and ward coming up. thanks, meteorologist dave aguilera is in colorado's weather center. dave, a nice weekend, but a major change next week? >> they're bringing drugs and racists. >> coughman says they should pull out a dictionary. >> it's true, but it's entirely misleading to suggest trump and coughman have the same views on immigration. coughman introduced legislation that ballots be dual language. his district is more diverse and he has bucked his party repeatedly on immigration reform and was the lead sponsor of legislature of dreamers. he has also called donald trump's immigration plans out of touch with america and says if he's elected and tries to expect a fight from me. this next claim stretches further. >> trump mocks those with disabilities. kauffman said nothing. >> just because he hasn't said anything doesn't mean he agrees with him. >> trump questioned president and mike coffman -- >> he's just not american. >> not an american?
