people say so much of it came that it not only covered the parking lot but flooded pe-cos. flooding was about knee-deep any an hour ago. some drivers were trapped, none were injured. there were a lot of this area, a drive-thru, a store. >> i got scared because i thought it was a snow storm in august. it was coming down so thick, i couldn't even see 10 feet in front of me. >> reporter: part ever the problem is that with the hail, there's debris clogging the road and drainage points. so crews crews to come in, push some of this out. >> that storm fired up about 6:30 or so. packed a wallop. >> this is just what we saw in colorado springs get a small area of hail, but they introduce a lot of it! nothing going on. just to the east, sunshine. showers and thunderstorms continue at this hour. anywhere from 0.40 to 2 inch was rain in just a couple and they go until 11:00 or midnight tonight. earlier today, we had nothing. now just the opposite. drying out across the state. will these storms be back tomorrow? >> reporter: karen these criminals are target these banks with multiple lanes here at the drive-up window. they're hoping that the teller on the other side of the window can't positively identify who is sitting in the driver's seat. and for the victim who called us, that cost her a couple thousand bucks over the past few weeks. >> immediately after i found out that my bag was stolen, i called wells fargo and canceled report. >> reporter: but she didn't tell the bank her i.d. was stolen. a day later, her account was frozen and she was missing $2,000. >> my first instinct was, well, they went to a bank, we're gonna get a video of this, the license plate, tell who these people are. and that's not the case. >> reporter: the criminal used someone else's check and coleen's i.d. to cash them. >> every person they talk to at wells fargo including their d this loophole exists. >> reporter: the drive-up locations don't have the security you would think like cameras that can show the tellers who is actually in the car. >> you can go in a tinted windowed vehicle and no one will ever see your face >> reporter: this isn't just a problem at wells fargo. she hopes banks can add a level of security when checks are being cashed from these drive-thru lanes. >> i think when you cancel your loophole that exists. >> reporter: she got her money reimbursed. wells fargo has not seen a rash of these. but they did give us some tips. they said put a password on any cash transactions for your account. they also recommend going online or onto your smart phone to once a week. that is a place where you can put some alerts on your account so any large transaction can get flagged and you can find out about it immediately. new developments after chris brown forces a standoff with police. the charges he's facing after his arrest. >> new video of a tv photographer saving a pregnant >> a cop narrowly misses a wrong-way driver. >> and building a memorial for the aurora theater victims. >> and storms starting to move out of the microsoft, still off to the west and south. they're heavy. and the rest of the state, that's about all we've got going! >> the broncos make more roster cuts. why the team is relying on a rookie.
