A gunman is on the run this morning after a murder in a Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. Now this is only one of four shootings in the denver motier over the weekend. Our Shawn Chitnis is live from this one happened in the 700 block of Ireland Court. Good morning shawn. Reporter britt good morning and it time yesterday that police and neighbors were learning about this shooting. Behind me we see the house is still closed off. And security is keeping this area tight while they have that investigation continuing by Denver Police. And neighbors tell us that they were surprised to see police knocking on their doors and of course investigating a crime in their neighborhood. Pause it is normally quiet like this and they dont expect that type of activity here, but we do know that Denver Police got morning of shots fire canned when officers fired and when officers arrived on scene they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police arent sure what led up to the shooting. Theres no description of a suspect or suspects in this case. But they do say that they collect evidence and try to get some more information from witnesses they arent worried about anyone else being at risk in this community. One thing though is why that victim was inside this house because they dont lives here. Now again they are looking for more information and trying to get some details if the public. Today we could learn more about a shooting that left a father dead on the north side of downtown. This one happened in the parking lot of a liquor store. At 20th and park avenue on saturday night. The neighbors tell us that the man who died wint by the went by the nickname of joker, he was in his 30s and lives nearby and he left two children. Federal safety investigators are trying to figure out now why a bus driver appears not to have slowed down much before smashing into a semi yesterday in palm springs, california. And so officers were here trying to get details on what led up to this shooting. They did find a man with multiple gunshot wounds by the house there. And that man did later die from his injuries. A Denver Police have told us so far that they dont have a description that they can release for this suspect. But they are working on that. And unclear if theres one or multifor people involved but multiple people involved but at this time police are saying theyn to anyone else in the community. The big question is though what was that victim doing at this house because they dont believe he was living at that location. One person who doesnt want to be identified says the man walked into his home before the shooting. He came inside our house and he stepped over where the doorstep is. Me and my brother and my mom, we went up to him and we asked him you know what are you doing here . Hes like i thyme not wrong place but he wasnt being responsive. It didnt seem he knew who he was or what was happening. Theres no confirmation from police. The neighbors say the man appeared to be reaching into his waistband and thats when somebody shot him. A light plane went down killing all five on board. Video shows the plane in flames some of the debris ended up on a road outside the perimeter of the airport. People say the plane crashed into the ground soon after takeoff. The passengers were heading to libyas coast to monitor migrant trafficking routes for the french government. Still a majority of the people we spoke will take with will take that mailin bottom and dropped ballot and drop it off in person or vote at the polling who like the convenience of a mail ballot but many also say they really enjoy the idea of being able to still go to the polling place and you know talk to folks in line.
