near dia and the fire happened northeast of dia and you can see this brush around here is indicative of what we have been seeing all over the denver-metro area, brown and dry. and you can hear it crunching below my feet. here right now too to make matters worse. but this dry conditions and the winds still an issue this morning. and fuelled those flamed. it started in brighton around 1:30. by the time it was out around 5:00 yesterday evening, the brush had burned through dry brush. crews were able to protect -- officials say t set. neighbors actually say they heard somebody doing a little target practice before crews arrived on scene, so the cause right now still under investigation. but it has ruled to be intentionally set and it's not hard to believe that something like target practice would start a fire, even the smallest spark right now because we're incredibly dry. i think last year it was around november 5th we had measurable beyond that. ski resorts pushing back their season because there's not enough snow. be cog necessity sent. we're going to keep an eye on this through the morning and hopefully we can see snow fall in the near future especially for the ski you have a ticket and you want to make a donation, this is your chance throughout the week. opportunities to do that and take care of those at once. this is apart of a food drive that's going to help the food for harvest pantry which helps those families in need around the boulder area. this is for any fine that has come from a campus parking spot. and almost everyday this week except for wednesday you can stop by in the afternoon at the parking office here on the campus in boulder with at least four non perishable food items and get a current that's for a picket issued before november 1st. that's the only way it's going to get paid off with the food items. you can bring more food items so if you have one more than ticket to get paid off and the common examples they're looking for when they talk about non perishable items, that's snack bars, fruit, and -- there's restrictions to keep don't hesitate to bring in the food. check with the parking service to see that ticket is back and forth all afternoon. broncos had control of the game. they had a couple of mistakes and the saints took momentum, but the broncos got it back and the saints looked like they had a game winning drive but then to have the broncos block the extra point. another rocky picks it up and was able to return it to turns out to be the game winning 2 points. >> i knew it coming. i said get made babies, but one mother faced with losing her child decided to make a gift that would make a difference. our weijia jiang has her incredible story. >>reporter: sarah and were excited about their having twin boys. then got devastating news. >> they found out that one of them was healthy and one wasn't. >> one baby had a fatal disorder that prevents the brain and skull from forming correctly. carolyn and thomas gray were born on march 3rd, 2010 and thomas lived for six-days. >> there's nothing we could do to save thomas' life and once we think, you know, inevitable, but it doesn't have to be unproductive. maybe there's good that could come. >> she spent the last weeks of her pregnant see -- thomas' organs were too tiny to transplant, but they donated his liver, eyes at three universities. >> do you have recommendations. >> dr. arupa studies eye retina which is impossible to get under normal circumstances -- >> sarah reached out to dr. gongali, to find out if her donation made a big snow -- for denver and the front range, precipitation. high temperatures, 50s in the high country. 60s and 70s up and down the front range. 71 in denver. and then again tomorrow, 75. followed by 74 on wednesday. sunshine the next 3 days. it will be thursday if we see moisture along the front range. it will be a small opportunity for maybe snow in the metro area as it turns colder late in the date on thursday. if we see snow it's not going to be much. friday, cold. look at that overnight low. 18 degrees. if you haven't blown out the sprinkler system, joel, it's time snsz -- time. we have group of young people when they thought they should start saving for retirement. then we asked some older people when they actually did start saving. this gap between when we should start saving why too many of us aren't prepared for retirement. just start as early as you can. it's going to pay off in the future. if we all start saving a little more today, we'll all be better prepared tomorrow.
