There was a time when the parties controlled the money and delegates. They dont have any leverage on these people anymore. When you look at the Democratic Party where they managed to produce one legitimate candidate, Hillary Clinton and shes in the fight of her life with Bernie Sanders, a very nice man but someone who has never sought office as a democrat. That shows how weak the party so who knows what happens next. Then core constituents are supporting sanders, rather than her. If Hillary Clinton cant get the vote of young women, where does she go .
