Prison today for abusing children in her care. Good afternoon. Thanks for joining us today. Christina williamson reached a plea deal in the case involving abuse caught on tape in their home. The video was taken by her own husband. Mark tauscheck was at the sentencing and joins us now with details. Mark it was a very emotional courtroom this morning. Two of the parents addressed williamson, to whom they had entrusted their children. In the plea deal, williamson pleaded guilty to felony child endangerment and aggravated misdemeanor child endangerment. The hidden camera video inside her home shows williamson aggressively pushing and yanking the kids, holding them face down in the carpet when they were crying, stuffing cloths in their mouths to stop them from crying and leaving a 5monthold home alone by herself on multiple occasions. Here is the mother of a 1yearold girl that was Christina Williamson id like to truly say how sorry i am for my actions and choices, the parents entrusted me with their children. We were inconsolable with guilt knowing that we had unwittingly placed our precious baby girl in the hands of a monster on a daily basis. Mark another mother whos child was abused was a child protective investigator. She was so distraught over not seeing what was happening to her daughter, she left her job. In her words, she wondered how she could save someone elses child if she couldnt save her own. Well have more from the sentencing tonight on kcci 8 news at 5 00 and 6 00. J. Wilson as the craft industry since true drop true jobs and growth in an otherwise flat sector, a manhunt of problems if this acquisition succeeds. Because jeb has the experience and knowledge to protect your family. Right to rise usa is responsible mollie its often true that we dont appreciate what we have in our own backyard but do the lens of the camera the beauty of des moines take shape in this book. Des moines architecture and design. Welcome back everyone, the author, jpeg more jay pridmore, calls at home. But now he is calling attention to our capital city would help of photos including those by steve fortino who is chief with all counties Attorney Office and thank you for what spare time you have. Thank you both for coming in today. My first question is obviously that you done chicago, shanghai, marshall field, but why des moines . Jay ive known the city for 20 years. I boys been fascinated by the architecture. Little by little i thought about putting a book together and every book is different, every book had its challenges but this one came together very nicely about year and a half ago when i started. I always thought architecture was a great lens through which you can examine a city. That is certainly true for chicago and true shanghai, obviously and other cities that ive biography through their architecture. Des moines is great, very substantial architecture and i think you are right, its undervalued. Maybe this can get people an opportunity to pay little more attention to something that is a very rich resource. Mollie you mention in the forward, modest. More is less, less is more. But is that iowa . Jay it is kind of a parlor game i play with architects here. Theres lots of reasons, one was the City Beautiful Movement around the turnofthecentury. The fact that 10 buildings were done by a professional wellknown architect. If they come, they are excited about designing here. A number of architects answer the question by saying iowans dont really like to call attention to themselves, there is an inherent modesty. In architecture, it really counts. Theres nothing worse than a building that tries to do too much. I think a lot of the good architecture here is marked by that. Mollie steve, what do you find through the lens of your camera . You also did the bank downtown. Beautiful pictures. I got a call from jay a couple months ago asking for some photographs and i was thrilled to be able to participate and take some photos of the city. There are some great buildings in des moines. I think a lot of times they are underappreciated. You have black and white and colors in here. What is your style . Steve i really like black and white photographs but i am also really drawn to color, strong colors. It is very difficult to pick a genre. Its a fun project. Mollie therell be a book signing tonight. Kum and go has a new architects are you are not done yet. It will be amazing. Once again, we wish we could talk more but we just scratched the surface. You can meetjay jay tonight at beaverdale books. Thank you for noticing what please help. The present is kind of a scary place. I have no money, no job, no clothes. I feel completely helpless. But i hear good things about you, future. Like ill have hair, and friends, and books and music. Frank could see a few sprinkles, otherwise we stay cloudy for temperatures feeling great with 53 today. 54 tomorrow, thursday we are in the low 60s and it is december 55 on friday but we cool down by the weekend with better chances of rain by them.
