Police say 61 yearold Robert Scarbrough stopped the bus and confronted a 15yearold student with special needs. He allegedly got upset the student wasnt sitting in then hit and pushed the student to the floor. Reporter kattey ortiz has more on this shocking video. nats students begging a bus driver to leave a needs student alone in this disturbing cell phone video. Why why would they do that Johnston Middle Schoolers were on the bus ride home. When police say 61 year old Robert Scarbrough got upset the victim wouldnt sit in his assigned seat. When the student responds with some strong words. The driver ends up striking the student in the face and pushing him in the floor on the bus. A group of kids reported the incident they caught on camera to a puty who happened to be at the next bus stop. The student was treated and released at the scene. But investigators took scarbrough away in handcuffs. Its disgusting students at Johnston Middle School were quick to support the victim. Who they say may not have understood what was happening. Hes mentally challenged, hes always been really nice, and i dont think he knew what he was saying, i think he was just taught to say stuff like that. Hes very cheerful. Hes amazing. Officials with Johnston Community School District say scarough passed all background checks the polk county jail charged with child endangerment and assault causing injury.
