na of a man who died after a rollover accident yesterday near macy. authorities day 21-year old noah parker was thrown from his vehicle after it rashed yesterday morning on highway 75 just outside of macy. parker was alone in the vehicle. authorities are still investigating the cause. tim: a family of eight has been hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning after an incident early this morning in newell. that happened at a home on south madison street. authorities say that a couple and their six children were asleep when the father woke up and recognized his symptoms. he called 911. the whole family was taken to buena vista regional medical center in storm lake, most had to be carried out of the house. police say that one of the causes of the carbon monoxide buildup was a furnace vent that was clogged with snow. jenna: a trial date has been set for an akron man accused of killing his mother nearly two years ago. 45-yer old johnathan date is scheduled just last month, a plymouth county judge ruled mentally competent to stand trial for esther neunaber, his mother back in july of 20-14. tim: a trial date for a facing kidnapping set. the court date for scott banks has been set to begin on may 17th. he's accused of keeping iowa human services department from taking custody of his children. plea of not guilty court documents kept his two children from teh department in december and lied under oath the same day. tim: after a year long lotto mystery that wound up catching one person in lottery fraud, a new lawsuit has been filed in polk county today. eddie tipton manipulated the hot lotto system so he would win, but another person, from webster city, says he was deprived of a very big jackpot. "just last year, eddie tipton, former security security director at the multi state lottery for rigging the hot lotto jackpot. tipton tried claiming for himself back in the main evidence - this quik trip video surveillance showing tipton buying the ticket himself. "he was caught, if that video didn't exsist, who kns if hed be there and this now the crawford led a landmark lawsuit- stating by allowing tipton to rig the jackpot- the iowa lottery and multi state association deprived the legitmate hot lotto winner "the odds arent exactly great,if you actually win you should get your prize" attorneys are asking the courts to award their client - larry dawson, of webster city- 10 million dollars, plus interset. they say, after tipton's rigging in december of 2010, the lottery reset to 1 million. meaning when, dawson won on may 7th 2011, he won signgnicantly less. then in december of 2011, tipton's unclaimed 10 million was returned to state lotteries... shorting dawson millions. "on may 7, 2011 our client won 6 million dollar cash value jackpot, but for the rigging of the lottery by the executive, he wouldve won 16 according to the lottery rules published, the jackpot is to carry over, until a legitmate winner is drawn. thats larry dawson" attorneys are also questioning the iowa lottery and multi state associations security and surveillance protocols. they're unsure if mr. dawson's is the only case rigged by eddie tipton. "this was a theft. this was a rigged game. there was no prize as lottery rules. shouldnt have gone back and should go back now, should be reverted" j- ending " tim: the lawsuit says dawson is owed 10 million dollars, plus interest, and requests a jury trial for proceedings jenna: nebraska governor pete ricketts announced today his appointment to the state's judge max kelch over as the fourth judicial district judge in state. unicameral is giving first round approval to a measure that would alllow without front end license plates. senators voted 25 to 3 in favor of the bill. taht would allow cars to drive legally with only a rear license plate. if the bill were to pass, it would motorists to request a decal to place on their driver's side windshield. that would cost motorists 100 dollars upon registering their vehicle. jenna: the republican side of the presidential is a couple of candidates lighter after announcements coming from two campaigns. jenna: this morning, rand paul announced he'll be suspending his campaign efforts. the kentucky senator says he was proud of the campaign he ran and of the thousands of young people that were effected by his campaign's message. paul's presidential push was hindered by lower polling numbers since he announced last year. tim: but he wasn't the only one to throw in the towel today pennsylvania senator rick santorum also said he's suspending campaigning for president. santorum also announced although he's done with his efforts for the white house, he'll be announcing his endorsement for president tonight. santorum entered the 2016 election four years after winning the iowa caucuses in 20-12 jenna: iowa senator chuck grassley is talking today about his prevous prediction for the turned out a bit differently. of newell fonda and conner thiele of oakland craig as well. these student athletes. the hawkeyes are coming off their best season in school history and added 24 players to the fold today. dense was a key focus for the coaching staff as they signed five d-linemen, five linebackers, and four defensive backs. among the 24 scholarship players, 21 of them are three star players as rated by rivals and two months new cyclone coach matt campbell was able to assemble a huge class of 36 signees and one of the highest rated in iowa state history. rivals has the isu class rated at 48th best in the country, and includes one four star player. that would be sean foster an offensive lineman out of illinois. the cyclones also beat out nebraska for chase allen a 3 star tight end from missouri. carson lensing from calmar is the lone iowan to receive a scholarship. the highest rated class though belonged to mike riley and the huskers. his first full recruiting class ranked 22nd according to rivals...that's one spot ahead of national semifinalist oklahoma. the huskers signed four four star recruits, highlighted by offensive lineman john raridon from des moines who they were able to pry across the river. they also inked matt farniok from sioux falls...his older brother tom played at iowa state and older brother derek plays at oklahoma on the line. and of course we mentioned norfolk
