a man suspected in a string of bank robberies won't be making anymore unauthorized withdrawals. how authorities finally caught up with him and where. a wedding day accident brings heart break for a bride hours before the ceremony but she showed up anyway and she was not alone. also, potentially deadly bacteria shows up at a place you wouldn't expect. medical experts sure didn't and now they're giving you tips how to avoid an infection at the beach. you're watching hln "news and views" on this sunday. i'm susan hendricks. the fbi says it is captured one of its topmost wanted specks. the agency says 37-year-old chad schaffner was arrested yesterday in missouri. he is suspected of robbing at least ten banks in four states. authorities say they received a tip from someone who recognized schaffner and contacted police. a man alleged to be him is showing no attempt to hide the identity and served time for armed robbery and released last december. police in connecticut have taken several items from a lab as they try to find a missing yale graduate student. the items are analyzed for clues in the search for annie le. he dis'peered last week. authority haves a surveillance videos of her entering the lab building but no video evidence she left. the fbi is helping the case but says it hasn't classified the disappearance as a criminal case. today was supposed to be the 24-year-old's wedding day. representative joe wilson says he is through with the apologies. he's under pressure from democratic house leaders to apologize on the house floor for shouting "you lie" at president obama on wednesday. wilson says he's already told president obama that he's sorry. >> i believe in civility. i believe in civility on the floor. my whole life has been built around civility. but as i heard what i believe was not accurate information, and because i knew the issue, i knew that there had been votes on providing for citizenship verification and for the speech to indicate that this would be enforceable, it was not. and so i spoke out. i called immediately. i did apologize but i believe one apology is sufficient. >> a campaign aide confirms wilson raised a million dollars for his reelection campaign since the ins accident. and just as much money poured into the campaign of his democratic opponent. the nation's capital finally heard firsthand from the tea party express. tens of thousands of supporters of the conservative group marched in washington yesterday. protesting health care reform, higher taxes and what they say is out of control government spending. >> we are americans first. we are not republicans. we are republicans, democrats, independents who finally decided enough is enough. >> now that the tea party express is finished the cross country trip, some are questioning the motives of the protesters and what they have accomplished. many are pointing out that key focus for the protesters, the deficit, skyrocketed under president george w. bush. they also question the sincerity of the group saying the only real ideology that drove the protesters was a dislike of president obama. >> i think that you can tell that this is really a partisan lynch mob by understanding that these people were not out making the exact same criticism of president bush. where were the people who were worried about the constitution when president bush trampled the constitution with the patriotic act? where were they talking about government spending when president bush inflated the deficit to record proportions? >> the tea party express was organized by conservatives and began its cross country trip on august 28th in california. after focusing heavily on health care, president barack obama starts this week by giving what the white house is calling a major speech on the financial crisis in new york. cnn's deputy political director paul steinhauser has a preview. >> reporter: the president heads to wall street in new york city scheduled to give what the white house calls a major speech on the financial crisis. white house officials say the president will tout the aggressive steps the administration's taken to bring the economy back from the brink and winding down washington's involvement in the financial sector. the speech comes one year after lehman brothers collapsed and sparked the crisis across the globe. now, tuesday, mr. obama's he's heading to pittsburgh to speak in front of the afl-cio's national convention. expect the president to bring up the economy and health care reform. and on saturday, white house spokesman robert gibbs told the associated press that president obama will call for steps to help avoid a repeat of the economic crisis in his speech from wall street. on what was to have been one of the happiest days of her life, a bride instead faces a tragedy. dan bowens with north carolina affiliate wral talked to the shocked priest who should have been celebrating with the couple. >> reporter: inside this house of worship, chris rainer wanted to make karen taylor his wife. >> i've never in my whole life ever encountered this. >> reporter: father bisuchio was scheduled to perform the service. >> one of the nicest couples i've ever known. >> reporter: family and friends arriving at the church when he got the news. >> guests coming the wedding. had no idea what had happened. it was my unhappy duty to tell people, i'm sorry, but the groom was killed. >> reporter: hours earlier with groom was getting ready for the wedding. he was riding in the backseat of his best man's car at this intersection off glenwood. that's when another vehicle ran a red light and hit the vehicle chris was in. he was thrown from the car and then hit and killed by a third car. >> chris was a special guy. >> reporter: andrew was a gramsman saying rainer was a devote christian who loved his friends, family and bride to be. >> this story is unbelievable that the fact it happened is why i'm happy for chris. i'm happy there are a lot of people to hear about this and people will see that karen is going to flourish from this situation. a lot of people will see that we are going to come together and help out chris' family. we'll help out karen's family. >> reporter: so inside these walls, those who had been gathering for the wedding instead stayed for a memorial. where karen taylor spoke about the man she loved. >> she was very ga lant and very brave. she thanked everyone for coming and she said she realized that by being there this had strengthened her and strengthened the love she has for him. that she'll always love him. >> thanks to dan bowens with wral for that story. now police say a man has been charged in connection with the car accident that killed christopher raynor. a european nation's capital city blanketed in smoke. what is fueling this fire that's september more than a dozen people to the hospital?
