It is interesting, charles, that the expectations are still for a very strong Holiday Shopping season. Many people thought that the pandemic would dampen that just a bit. But it turns out the online sales are really going to give the boosted that consumers and businesses are looking for. Its kind of interesting to look at how big retailers have refashioned themselves for this. They have turned some of their stores into fulfillment centers. You can have it with anything you want and the great deals, but you can do it at a much more convenient way that looks like america generally has responded well to that. Yeah, i agree. Everyone is shopping online. We saw the transfer start when the pandemic actually began. Everyone was buying up a storm, stuff that they did not need, stuff that they wanted. A lot of impulse buys. If you look at the projections for the national, online sails are projected to be up to 2030 , preparing for a potentially 200 billion of the total buys. Charles one thing that really strikes me as the consumer has been a lot stronger than the experts thought the consumer would be throughout this entire crisis. You look at the savings race and it is through the roof. Disposable income at a record low, so the consumer has a lot of money, and see what you well, not probably communing to the city, saving your money, not paying come of things add up. Is there a chance we could see a better season than most are predicting . Yes, i think thats a real surprise. But if you just look at some of the math when youre cutting certain things out of your budget and cutting the Restaurant Business and that commutes a little bit more space from things you want to buy for retails out of the season. And in a tough environment when people are looking for some bright spots, one of the things they look at is what can i do around the house . What can i buy around the house to make the space bending a lot more time. And the consumer has been strong. They have big savings earlier this year. I was just going to say, people are thinking what can i do to feel better, because they want to indulge and feel better, they are feeling a little sense of confidence now that we have the potential vaccines with 95 efficient, and the stock market is high, the home values are up, confidence they are and people want to spend. Im imagining that you will spend a fortune on the little ones, the little fourlegged friends to keep them happy, but people are buying home fitness equipment, stuff or the backyard, they are buying grills and the fire pit, they are buying all the stuff for the home, for the office, and again, just stuff that feels good, to feel better and more like themselves. People have been cooped up for such a long time that they want to treat themselves and share some sort of joy in the midst of the terrible pandemic. I think there is a lot of reason to be optimistic. My view is if you can get a situation where the policy agenda of low taxes, low regulation does not change that much in 2021 and divided government might be the secret for that, i think that it could be quite a good year especially with the vaccine. But on the other hand, you know, the policy environment may change a lot, that could be tough for small businesses. So it is wait and see. But if you get a steady state in the 2021 with the taxes and regulation, it could be a really big year. Charles yeah, i think that all wall street is echoing what youre saying thinking that we will have a divided government and divided enough to keep the momentum going. We are expecting that th fda wil go through approval for the first round, for the highest risk population which is Health Care Workers by the end of this year, but in order for 60 of the population, which yes, would be required in order to reach herd immunity via vaccine is many, many hundreds of millions of doses potentially everybody has to get their first dose and then return for a required second dose, so what we actually need to do right now is start communicating what people can expect after getting the first injection, which may be mild but noticeable side effects like a sore arm or a muscle ache or a fever for a day or two. Many americans are hesitant to get vaccinated. It would be a realtor faster if we have a safe and effective vaccine that people dont take or dont return for their second dose because i got symptoms. So the debt itself wont actually be forgiven, its just the person paying for it will be different. So normally i write my student loan check to the federal government, now they will make that payment to the treasury itself, which stops people from having to pay that extra tax burden but also allows people to spend money on things like housing, vacations, things that stimulate the economy as we talk about in the cares act, that actually put a pause on payments for the very reason, because we need people to spend that money on things charles a pause is a lot different than saying you never have to pay it again. We are talking about 1. 7 trillion and there is about accountability and the balance sheet, about 56 of these folks have professional degrees and masters degrees. A lot of them are in the top 20 of earners already. It is a weird scheme that oddly enough will benefit a whole lot of very wealthy and educated folks, white folks. It just doesnt, it sounds like not something that though woke liberal Democratic Party would be pushing, but here we are where the working man, the cabdriver wants to see his hardearned money go to somebody elses college tuition. I just have to disagree with you. When you look at the breakdown of people who have student loans, those are overwhelmingly minority communities and people who are firsttime college graduates, firsttime graduate school graduates, and you look at the cost of things like going to law school, becoming an accountant, becoming a doctor. First generational wealth is covering through student loans. Charles okay, i am a firstgeneration guy who has made a lot of money, so i am with you. My grandparents own a house with no indoor plumbing, my father bought in vietnam and was never the same. Legitimately i am the only one who had a chance to become a millionaire, but once the estate tax to take half of it and new york and new jersey to take the other half. But when we talk about paying for a lawyers tuition, are you nuts . And lets be honest about this. A lot of these folks drop out of college. They should not have been seduced into going to college in the first place. They werent prepared for it. And so its a lack of accountability on so many levels, it is a slippery slope not just a slippery economic slope. Looked, the democrats toss around the word forgiveness like it is punishment if we make you pay back money that you chose to borrow. There are plenty of occasional schools and other types of technical colleges that will actually pay you to go into certain programs. And if People Choose to advance their careers and certainly, thats what these programs have been around for five decades to be able to do as it helps people advance the Economic Opportunities and those are the choices that people make. And for that, people should have to pay back their loans. We as taxpayers should not be on the hook because someone chose to borrow money and not pay it back because the government said or the democrats say you should not have to. What a slap in the face to the people who had paid back their student loans. Charles i have 40 seconds, but if the republicans win back the seats in georgia, what other ways would a President Biden try to make this happen . Would they use the Federal Reserve as a tool to do the same scheme . The president has an option of using executive action, but this is pulling overwhelmingly high with republicans as well as democrats. So this is something whether democrats end up capturing the senate or not, republicans will work with democrats on getting it done. It helps everyone. Thats what we need to be doing now is lifting all those.
