these workers could attach themselves to. they're going to reportedly cut out a pane of dallas on the 69th floor. this is a piece of second scaffolding. this is closer to the top of that building. some 2,000 feet up into the air. the nation's tallest building that just opened about a week or two ago with the new tenants coming in. this is a new piece of scaffolding now. we're not sure whether or not this scaffolding is somehow going to try and be lowered down to the 69th floor to try to rescue these people who are currently trapped on the other piece of scaffolding that is completely askew at this time hanging on literally for dear life. we're want sure if this is a rescue effort on the top part of the scaffolding here or if that's simply just part of the window washing exercise that was going on earlier before the mishap happened down on the 69th floor. once again, now, this is a picture on the right side of your screen from inside the building. this is being tweeted out right now from fdny. the fire department tweeting out this photo from inside one world trade center showing that scaffolding now from the interior of the building and how it is completely on its side. i don't believe we can see any of the workers there in that particular photo. 175 people working on this effort right now to try and build, oh, 19 people working in the building right now, i'm being told, and we do know that 60 firefighters are on the scene trying to rescue one or two workers now currently trapped. eventually there will be many more workers who are going to come into this place and call it home, but currently, as i just mentioned earlier, they just started coming in. the tenants about a week or two ago. now we have another situation in downtown manhattan here in new york city with this piece of scaffolding and one or two workers who are trapped right now. the good news is the reporting coming into fox news is that they are reportedly strapped into safety right now. imagine if you are these workers and you are on the outside of this building, there's nothing to hold on except to sta scaffolding. there's no ledge for you to be abe to climb to safety and wait even if that would not be daunting, to be waiting that high up in the air for some sort of a rescue to happen. once again, what we're hearing from authorities is the way in which they may try to rescue these two workers is to literally cut out a piece of glass in this new building. as you can see right there, that is the 69th floor. they would probably try to cut out that entire pane of glass there or maybe just a portion of it so that those workers could be able to come back inside. now, this is a wide angle shot. this gives perspective of how tall this building is in downtown manhattan. it looks like the scaffolding is halfway up. this gives peck picture of how high these window washers are. the entire building 104 stories high. cable broke 1:00 p.m. eastern time. these two workers have been hanging on the outside of that building not knowing what's going to happen to them for going on an hour now. again, the picture on the right is a picture that the fdny is tweeting out now. this one picture so far from the interior of the building on the 69th floor looking out at that skaf oeling as it's almost completely askew in 180 degrees. the building cost about $4 billion in its entirety. as you recall, it took quite some time for this building to go up after the 9/11 tragedy that happened going on 13 years ago now. the tower makes it the tallest building in the united states of america now. that piece of scaffold iing tild it its side. can you see the workers from inside the control room? we cannot see the workers, but they are apparently two workers who are currently trapped. now we can see that that scaffolding is moving somewhat. rescuers have been dropping cables down more so in the current position that they're in, although we've been reporting that they are currently securely strapped in, but maybe the cables would be an extra precaution. or there's a rescue effort by dropping the cables to them. we're not sure if that top piece of scaffolding, two pieces of scaffolding now. the camera pulls out. you may be able to see -- you may be able to see at the top of the building. once again, this gives complete perspective about how high this is, and imagine if you are one of these two workers trapped right now on that piece of scaffolding. now, if you can see towards the top of the believe now in this shot, i don't know if you can see it or not, but there's another piece of scaffolding now that apparently may be used for some sort of a rescue mission. or it may have been just associated with the window washing that was going on. fwot to wrnd, building just opened. they needed their windows cleaned right away, i guess, and now two lives waiting there literally in the balfour some sort of a rescue mission to happen. our own david lee miller from fox news is making his way down to the scene right now, and he joins us now on the phone. where are you? what is your perspective? what can you tell us? >> i am at the base of the world trade center. i am looking up, and i can see scaffolding dangling from the building. with me are thousands of people here at the base of the world trade center looking at this astounding sight, and just above the scaffolding that has partially failed. there is what appears to be another piece of scaffolding slowly, slowly, slowly moving down the side of the building. in fact, i can't tell for sure if it is moving, but the -- it's to bring down an additional piece of scaffolding while at the same time the fire department has plans to try and remove one of the windows on the world trade center so that the window washers will be able to be brought into the building. this is being done underway around 12:30 east coast time. from the looks of things here, gretchen, it's not going to be ending at least any time soon. one good note, we are told, that the winds are low, and the wind should not be a problem. as for the safety of the two window washers, we understand that they are tethered to this scaffolding itself. there's another, of course, that they actually have an additional tether to the roof of the building just being reported by local media, so they are dangling from what we are told is the 69th floor of the tallest building in the united states. >> we are getting word now into fox from some of our affiliates. our affiliate here in new york city, that they have been asked to move back away from the building. if there is nir glass cutting exercise, they don't want the shattering glass to be falling down on people below. have you heard anything about that? >> i'm about three blocks away, so i've want been able to see that for myself. >> let me walk a little closer. it doesn't look like any of these are moving, but amongst the perimeter of the world trade center, for instance there are dozens of emergency vehicles, so the emergency crews are there. most of the pedestrians are at least for now at a safe distance, and one of the things that we should point out, gretchen, is that you talk about safety. this is a building that had its safety touted. lower floors are all reinforced. there are no windows able to sustain a blast, but apparently this is type of incident that was not anticipated because right now authorities are scrambling desperately trying to figure out a way to bring these two men to safety. >> the other thing we've been talking about since the top of the hour, david lee, is there are no ledges on this building. people can see this is almost in its entirety, other than the floors that you are talking with towards the bottom, it's all glass. there is no ledge for knees gentlemen, if they are or females, workers out there to try to stand by and wait for somebody to rescue them. >> that's right. this is an ultra modern building. there's no type of ledge. it's a smooth glass surface. i believe that these windows open up like they would in an older believe. in order to bring these men inside, they will likely require the removal of the glass in one way or another, and if you think back about a year ago, there was a similar incident that took place at another high-rise called the herst building. window washers were trapped for about an hour and a half. that ens dent -- they got into the building, and it's very likely we could see the same thing happening here this afternoon. >> that's interesting because then one would assume that the fdny and police departments and such have done this once before in some sort of a test run since that happened so recently. i just want to call our viewers' attention to the left side of our screen now because this is the second piece of scaffolding that i've been talking about and that david lee was talking about. now in it appears to really be moving. it appears to be moving. i know you probably can't see. there's no way you can see that, david lee, from your perspective, but on our screen, the second piece of scaffolding appears now to really be moving, and people appear to be on it. as you mentioned when you joined us, david lee, this may be, in fact, some sort of a rescue attempt. the other one being that they may cut out a piece of glass on the 69th floor to try and get these workers to safety. it appears to almost be moving back and fort. it's hard to get perspective about whether it's actually moving. >> it's like -- i'll give you my perception where i am right now. >> thank you. >> i -- it looks like the second scaffolding unit has gone up to the roof area of the building a little lower. a number of floors from the roof for whatever the reason, perhaps they're preparing it right now to stand to be trapped window washers. not entirely clear, though, if this is an effort to tether them to the scaffold or to actually somehow safely get these window washers from the secure scaffold. or is this a temporary measure until they can bring them through the windows. >> i don't mean to interrupt you. if you take a look at our screen, i'm talking to the viewers now. you can see it looks as if there has been a hole that has been cut right in front. yet, you can see somebody there actually cutting some sort of a hole, and it looks like you can see the hand of a person. i'm not sure if that's from the inside of the building or from somebody on that piece of dangling scaffolding. it appears now -- okay. they're inside reaching out. now they have cut a hole on the 69th floor from the window of this brand new building all in an effort to try and save the two window washers that have been trapped for more than an hour now. imagine dangling from the top of the 69th floor above nothing but ground below you. now it looks like somebody reaching out completely reaching out from the building. david lee, do you have a perspective of this at all? >> i cannot see what are you describing. it's too high up, too far away. there are -- to give you a sense of the scene here, there are thousands of people around the perimeter of this building all with their necks craned pointed out, but the rescue efforts you just described are not discernible from the groupend. that's how high up. you can't even tell there are people on the scaffold from where i'm standing. >> let me interrupt you for a minute because there's definitely a person on our screen right here. however, it appears that the only person we're seeing currently right now is somebody from the inside. some sort of a rescue. you can see folks who are watching right now, several cables dangling. we heard earlier from caved lee miller that those cables -- that the workers are tethered potentially to that piece of scaffolding, but also the skabls appear to be tethered up to the roof of this building which is the good news right now. now we're seeing that they've cut a hole in the the window of this 69th floor, and at least from our perspective, at least one rescuer is there reaching out his or her hands to potentially the people who are trapped on this piece of scaffolding to try and bring them to safety. now can you actually see a person on the scaffolding. you see the person right there. to the right of that circle. we are heating it for you now. right now on the screen. it looks as if he is coming inside the building. being rescued from that dangling piece of scaffolding right now. one person appears to be safe inside the 69th floor. let's say a prayer for that person right now who is now appearing to be safe inside one world trade center. now, our reports have said that there were two workers on this piece of scaffolding that literally is dangling almost straight up and down in the air for the last one hour and 15 minutes. maybe longer. the good news today is that there is not a lot of wind, and now it appears that by cutting through this piece of glass, the rescuers have been able to at least bring one person to safety. it looks as if right now -- >> gretchen. >> david lee, go ahead. >> yes, actually we now have the camera set up here. i don't know if it's the same camera you're looking at, but it looks like right now they are going to be bringing the second window washer through that window, and you can see perilously the scaffolding is swaying back and forth away from the building. >> it's unblooechl wrfsh. >> gut wrenching moments here, and you can see right now it looks like -- >> it's the second worker right now. it appears -- >> he is going in right now. we're assuming that both of the workers, david lee, have been rescued. they're inside the building. we saw it live right here on fox. this is fox news live. you're not going to get a better look than this, folks. look at the scaffolding danger willinging in the air, in the wind. those two workers more than 0 firefighters that came to the scene. they somehow thought about cutting open a piece of that window in the 69th floor to bring them in. >> there are 60, 70 firefighters here. there are dozens of pieces of equipment. we don't want to be overly dramatic right now. put the whammy on this, but it does appear that this crisis is over. that it has passed. it does appear that the two window washers are now safely inside the world trade center. the additional other piece of scaffolding that we thought they were going to bring down has now been removed from the facade of the building, so that appears to be something that is now going to be taking place. the job that remains to be done right now would appear to safely somehow bring that other piece of scaffolding that is dangling and be able to raise it back to the roof because as you point out, this is an area in lower manhattan where there are many pedestrians. lives would be in peril if anything would fall from these heights. the two window washers, most importantly at this hour, have been brought to safety, and this taking place a little less than two hours after the emergency bell was rung and the scaffolding for reasons that are still unclear to be partially -- >> it's an unbelievable story here on the real story on fox news because the idea that they have been rescued now in a situation which most people would never want to find themselves in, they're going to go now from window washing to window repair at one world trade center. the workers that fought for their lives and are saved by the good people of the fire department of new york and the police officials. some 60 to 70 of them on the scene. you can still see now the cables we're not sure if they're still attached to them or just dangling there. >> one thing i noticed coming to this location is as all of this issen folding on the south side of the world trade center, there is another piece of scaffolding on the north side from the ground you can't really see it. there are window washers -- i presume there were. it looks like business as usual on the north side of the building. windo washing taking place while on the south side there is a rescue that was unfolding. here on the ground people are breathing a sigh of relief for those two workers. >> so people down there, david lee, have -- you really can't probably see that high up, but they've been told, all the people down there, that two people have been rescued? >> i think most people have a good indication now because they are watching this on radio and tv. or on the internet. you cannot tell by the naked eye. most people here seem to know that this crisis is over, but emergency crews are still here. ambulance is still here. fire department trucks, they're still no change in the level of security on the ground. this is the scaffolding still p to the side of the building. >> if you are just joining us here for the real story on fox news for the last 20 minutes we've been covering this breaking news unfolding. this is downtown manhattan. this is the sight of 9/11, folks. this is the new one world building that just went up and opened a couple of weeks ago. the first tenants came in. already we have a crisis that has just been averted. two window washers somehow on that particular piece of scaffolding went askew. as you can see, it was almost completely the other way around. up and down instead of side to side. they were trapped there for almost two hours. >> other rescue attempt is to have another big piece of scaffolding that they were bringing down from the top of the roof, and they were going to try to lower that down potentially to have the workers get on to it and then bring them back up. undoubtedly, they figured that cutting a hole in the building even though it's brand new weren't thinking about the cost or anything like that. that it was more important to just cut that hole in the building and bring those two workers into safety, and you saw that happening right here live on fox news on the real story. producers, what are we seeing right now? it looks like the shot has changed somewhat. same shot. okay. still a live shot. just looks like the coloring of it may have changed slightly. it's a little tighter, and can you see on the inside of the building there, people still working inside. we're not really sure why the cable is there. they are still attached, but for sure they're probably not attached to the workers. it's just the tethering attached to that piece of scaffolding. do we have david lee miller in front of the camera right now? okay. in just a few moments we're going hear from david lee miller and actually see him down in downtown manhattan where this is all unfolding. the same building where 9/11, the tragedy happened, 13 years ago now, and now the new building has just opened with just a few of the tenants moving in and already we have some sort of a situation there. one week after this building opened. let's go live now. we can see david lee miller live on the scene for us. hi, david lee. >> hi, gretchen. this will give you some idea of the media's vantage point, and how tall the building is. we are on liberty street. this is a few blocks south of the world trade center. it's hard for the naked eye to discern what took place. let's pad up the building some 69 floors, and this is where the human drama unfolded for the last nearly two hours. you can still see from here the dangling piece of scaffolding. you cannot make out the fact that emergency crews had to cut through the glass to bring the window washers inside the building. we are told that they had to cut through two separate panes of glass in order to accomplish this. at this hour the two window washers are now safely inside the world trade center. too early to tell if we're going to be able to hear from them sometime today. as for the other piece of scaffolding we talked about, that has now been removed. lfs talk they were going to bring in a second piece of scaffolding, possibly try and put the men on that, possibly try to tether them into that. they were able to sutsfully rescue these two men in just about two hours time. really a herculean task when you think about what had to be accomplished here today. one thing that was in the favor of rescuers, there was very little, if any, wind. had there been wind today, there could have been a very different outcome, but now the crisis is over. the emergency crews remain in place. people here breathe aing sigh of relief. also, a great deal of disbelief. many asking how could this happen at a building that cost $3.9 billion? a building that just opened to its first tenants about one week ago. a building touted as very, very secure. a building where the first floors are inpenetratable by any explosive device. there are no windows on the lower floor. the designers of the building, the port authority and others, touted the fact that this was a secure, ultra modern building where any type of potential problem was going to be anticipated. obviously something unpredictable happened here this afternoon. gratefully this is a story that is going to have a happy ending and, dare i say, likely require some changes in the future about window washing procedures. >> no doubt, david lee. i mean, it's unbleechbl that this would happen just a we can or two after this building actually opened and tenants move in. have you been able to gleen any information about how this cable actually snapped originally? were they in the vicinity of the 69th floor, or did they somehow fall a bunch of floors when this happened? >> how did this happen? >> one of the media reports suggested there may have been a motor failure, but we have not been able to independently confirm that. exactly what went wrong, we do not know, but something that bears repeating are the safety procedures that were in place did work. the men had ab additional tether, and it is very likely that tether that saved their lives. gretchen. >> unbelievable story. david lee miller life for us on the scene. downtown manhattan. unblooechably at one world trade center. the brand new building where 9/11 happened 13 years ago. two window washers have been rescued. you saw it happen live right here on the real story. thankfully the 60 to 70 firefighters there decided they were going to cut a hole in that new glass, and you saw it happen right here. they reached their arms out, and they brought in those two workers who were tethered luckily in two ways to that piece of scaffolding, and also to the roof of that building. they brought them in to safety. they were hanging there for almost two hours. a good news story today that we've been covering on the real story. another fox news alert. now we go to washington. live look now at capitol hill as the house and senate get underway for the first time since the midterm election. it could be a very busy month. >> regardless, it's clear that the american people want us to join together to get things done for the middle class and all americans. >> last week the american people sent a strong message to washington. they voted for a new direction. they called for a change in the way we do things here in the senate. we plan to do just that. >> chief congressional krbt mike emmanuel on capitol hill. mike, what about the idea of bringing up the big keystone xl proposal for a vote now? >> several democratic leadership aides say there's active consideration of holding a vote on the keystone xl pipeline in the senate during the lame-duck session. the idea would be showing democratic senator mary landrieu's influence on energy issues here on capitol hill and her support for a pipeline project, which is popular back home in louisiana. landrieu faces the december 6th rinoff against bill cassidy, a gop senator pushing for keystone xl and weighed in earlier on fox business network. >> the reality is, though, there are going to be some challenges in terms of her getting 60 votes and coming up with a procedure if you don't allow any amendments to advance the bill. we'll have to see whamz in this congress in the lame-duck. i do believe as i have said all along ultimately we're going to get keystone because the public wants it and supports it. it's a no brainer even though the think the president will continue to oppose if. >> that would add to the must do list of this lame-duck congress. it would prevent retroactive tax hike in passing annual defense authorizing measures. >> what's the latest on the efforts to confirm the new attorney general who president obama no, ma'am made over the weekend? is that going to happen during the lame-duck or afterwards? >> gretchen, it looks highly unlikely during the lame-duck sex session. there was an initial push by democrats to have her confirmed sooner than later. it appears it will slide to a new year and a new congress. president obama nominated loretta lynch to serve as attorney general replacing eric holder. a top house democrat says there are reasons why this could get complicated. >> no matter when you do the attorney general nomination, it soupdz like it may en more of a battle than people anticipate, and not so much over the nomination itself, but as you know republicans in the senate are saying they want to use that as a forum to debate immigration policy and executive orders. >> congress says getting back to work this hour as everybody up here on capitol hill awaits president obama's expected action, executive action, on immigration. gretchen. >> mike emmanuel, busy day in washington and in new york city, as we've been covering here. thanks much. >> that's right. troubling scene for american sailors. >> hoodlums attacking them in broad late in a country that is supposedly an ally. >> oops, he has done it again. the architect of obama care claiming he didn't mean it when he called you and me, the american people, stupid. then he gets caught saying it again. who is stupid now? >> basically, you know, the stupidity of the american voter, whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to get this thing passed. a dry mouth can be a common side effect. that's why there's biotene. it comes in oral rinse, spray or gel, so there's moisturizing relief for everyone. biotene, for people who suffer from a dry mouth. another video emerges of m. i.t. professor gruber making the seam stupid reference. >> this was written in a way to make sure -- okay? so it's written to do that. in terms of subsidies, you need a law that says healthy people are going to pay in. healthy people pay in and sick people get money. it would not have passed. it's the stupidity of the american voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to getting this thing passed. >> well, that sounds a lot like another comment he made which was you also caught on tape. >> for people that want health insurance plans, they no longer get a 40% tax break. what if we said at 40% tax on the insurance company that sells these -- we said, well, that's pretty much the same thing. why does it matter? you'll see. >> the comments were made. i was speaking off the cuff, and i basically spoke inappropriately, and i regret having made those comments. >> off the cuff twice. joining us now monica crowley and fox news contributor. what does this do for the new members of congress coming in? >> is this going to up the ante for a push for repeal? >> the push for repeal was there anyw anyway, but what you saw in his comments was the only bit of truth we have ever gotten about obama care, which was that this thing was so complicated and actually so destructive to so many parts of the economy that you couldn't get it through if you told the american people the truth, so they had to lie. >> because it would raise taxes. if they were going to tell the truth, that's what this boils down to, right? >> that's what this his comments comments were related to about the tax issue. we know that obama care is just built on lie after lie on you can keep your doctor. if you like your doctor. you can keep your hospital if you like that. your premiums will go down. the arching american family will save $2,500 on average. your tacks will not go up. now that it's actually in the operation and practice, most of the american people either directly or indirectly, gretchen, are seeing that none of those things are true, and so what you are seeing from gruber is actually the perfect example of the elitist arrogance that comes from the left. we know what's best. you're too stupid to know what's best for you. >> you're too dumb to figure it out. meerz the interesting twist. are democrats now, some of them, going to join rnsz in this effort? >> i think you might see some because keep in mind, that with this last election psych from last week, gretchen, over 25 democrat senators who voted to approve obama care are now gone. they've been run out of office. you might see some vulnerable democrats coming up who are fearful of their own re-elections in 2016 who might say they might even go full-on for a full repeal, which we know that the house and the new republican senate will vote for initially for full repeal. obama has the detail veto pen, and we know that's not possible right now, but what is possible is dismantling major chunks of this thing, which the supreme court might also do when they take up the subsidy question. >> i was just going to say that. monica, thanks for sticking with us during the breaking news. thank fort analysis. >> time for my take now. no one likes to be called stupid, but in the end the joke may be on the guy calling all of us dumb. how smart was it for m. i.t. professor and obama architect to admit in public that parts of obama care, the most central part of how we're going to pay for it were all a lie. gruber's comments have most definitely given new life to a push to repeal bottom care and not just from republicans. his comments have certainly helped those arguing before the supreme court about whether or not the laws is for -- can be offered on the exchange created by the federal government. the obama administration was no doubt hoping any negative news about obama care had come and pass and that this year everything would go off without a hitch, but instead it looks like the smart guy from m. i.t. may end up actually being the one who is stupid. trio of u.s. navy sailors get bullied in turkey. watch this. in video posted on-line showing a crowd of protesters cornering the men on the street calling them murderers, even going as far as trying to restrain them and trying to put bags over one of their heads. chief correspondent jonathan hunt is here with the latest. exactly how does this all start? it looks like almost a kidnapping situation. >> it appears to be an entirely unprovoked attack, gretchen. always difficult to tell with videos like this exactly what led up to the incident, but listen here. >> we want you to get out of our land. >> that's a member of the turkish youth union shouting at the sailor who then gets pushed around as you can see there. things are thrown at him, and then listen again as the group begins to chant. >> go home yankee. go home, yankee. go home, yankee. >> go home, yankee, they're shouting, and you can see them there right there. they put those bags over the heads of at least one of the american sailors. now, the u.s. navy has issued a statement saying mainly that the sailors that managed to remove themselves from the situation without sustaining injuries and are safely back aboard u.s.s. ross. the u.s. navy is currently working with the turkish national police and u.s. embassy staff to investigate this incident. the u.s. navy will continue to work with turkish authority to review security procedures. you mooj that might change. when you look at the vote, those sailors running presumably at that point fearing for their lives. this turkish youth union is now putting up images of this on their web page basically paying tribute to those who attacked the u.s. sailors. now, it's interesting to notes az well, dwech gretchen, there has been trouble. in january 12013 they attacked german members of nato and just last october the u.s. embassy actually issued a warning to american citizens to stay away from mampz organized by this group. very dangerous group. >> alcaptured on video. joog thank you. time to check in with shepherd smith reporting live from the fox news desk. >> these russians, i tell you. these rushzan. somebody needs to take care of them because they're now reporting that their long range bombers will start patrolling. where? as far away as the gulf of mexico. this gulf of mexico. this one over here. that's russia. this is the gulf. why do they need to patrol here? it's a good question. we'll take you to the pentagon and get answers. remember, they invaded crimea and took it, right? now russian soldiers are headed into ukraine with tanks and heavy weapons and a bunch of soldiers and they poured across the border. that's the claim of nato. of me, and being aware of this problem that's growing and growing. we just heard about more troops about to ship overseas, and ptsd and its issues that follow it are not going to end any time soon. >> it's interesting because ptsd is something for a while nobody wanted to talk about. ann, i know you. i know enough about you that you speak up. you are speaking up now for people who are suffering from ptsd. bringing a voice to it. >> i mean, it's so important for people who have done so much for us and for our country that when they come back and they feel that they can't talk about anything and they're suffering silently with this kind of stuff, it's really important for them to be able to say something and have resources and where to go and have people who have sympathetic ears to say, all right, we recognize it, and what can with dough to help you? >>. >> it's interesting how theefr bringing together chefs into the mix. what was it for you. you know, when people say what do chefs have to do with veterans? how can they help? how do youo that? >>. >> it's a great forum because food is something we all understand, and ptsd is something that only has an official diagnosis in 1980. you also have several members of the military service that have honorable did hes charges and only now they are getting a chance to revisit that. so much is done about broken bodies. there's not so much done about the broken spirit or the broken mind, and i think it's really kind of beautiful. that's the thing about that when which i love destroyed me is two men served together, and they are exetch mraer human beings. you just heard it there. enough negative influences around someone. anyone can be broken. >> no doubt. a beautiful way to say it. are the three of you doing any of the cooking tonight at the big dinner? >> no, we are not. >> aur just going to be there to enjoy it all. >> yu. >> and lend your support. the armed -- the armed forces foundation dinner, it's tonight. i know they're coming to get you, right? >> yes. i was boarding the plane. i was putting my carry-on where it was supposed to be, sat down maybe two minutes and one of the delta employees called me off the plane, took me to the side and said my dog got out of the crate, out of the kennel, and he ran away but they found him and they just need me to identify him. two minutes later they told me he bit out of the kennel, he ran across the airport, and they still couldn't find him. they said he ran away an hour ago. >> so this happened on halloween on october 31st. >> yes. >> you ended up staying in l.a.x. then because you're like my dog is here, delta lost my dog and i'm going to it stay to try to find him? >> exactly. >> jackie, how do you factor into this story? were you in l.a. with your son or back in florida? >> yes, i was. i was in l.a. with my son. and we all got off the plane. i have a little girl. and we all got off the plane. stayed in l.a. with our dog. >> the dog has not been found. i want to read the delta statement, what they say, delta continues to investigate what happened but early indications show procedures were followed and the dog may have compromised the kennel on its own. we remain in contact with this customer and we are fully supporting the search for their pet. is that true? >> no. >> frank? >> no, it's not true. we leave countless voice males and they never return or dog. >> $1,000 reward has been put up from a group in california. let's go to arthur. what's the case here? >> well, what i want to know is, we're in an airport, in an airplane, in the age of post-9/11, there has to be cameras everywhere, everywhere there has to be cameras that are capturing this. this isn't like a little shoebox that was stolen or put under someone's coat. this is a rather large dog that is going to be coming up somewhere. >> so that raises a bunch of points why haven't they been able to find the dog and how did the dog get out of the crate? that's going to be the legal case if there is there's damage from the outside. so the crate will be the pivotal point of the whole case. >> okay. >> obviously the videos. >> do you have the crate? >> no, it's at l.a.x. >> is that a problem? >> i would feel a lot more comfortable if they had the crate as opposed to somebody who has a vested interest in the outcome of the case having a crate they could tamper with. >>
