Did force Brown University to cancel sex week . Golly. Caution, you are about to enter the no spin zone. The factor begins right now. Hi, im bill oreilly. Thanks for watching us tonight. More disturbing news about ebola. That is the subject of this evenings talking points memo. This man, 33yearold an american freelance camefor nbc d ebola in liberia and floppy back to the flown back to the u. S. For treatment. How could that happen since his duties would not normally put him into bodily fluid contact with ebola victims . No answer yet from nbc. He was working with nbc news medical correspondent dr. Nannies sneiderman who is also being flown back to america in a private plane. She and her plane will be in quarantine for 21 days. The factor has called for the Obama Administration to halt all commercial flights and deny u. S. Entry to any person from west africa until the epidemic subsides. But so far that request has not been heeded. There also are screening procedures in place at our border. So as individuals enter the country, they are observed by customs and Border Patrol and others to protect the broader american public. But as we have seen with thomas duncan, the Liberian National in dallas texas screening cannot, cannot stop the movement of six sick people. Because the incubation period is up to three weeks. So far, at least 13 african countries are he restricting people entry from the nations where ebola is the problem. In addition, British Airways and air france among others have suspended flights to dangerous areas. The u. S. A. Has done nothing, nothing. Does that make sense to you . A possible reason for the inaction is political correctness. Listen to this. You cant isolate neighborhoods. You cant isolate nations. It doesnt work. And people talk about well, we shouldnt allow any facts in from liberia. I mean, we in america, how dare we turn our backs on liberia given the fact that this is a country that was founded in the 1820s, 1830s because of american slavery. We have a responsibility to stay connected with them and help them see this through. Thats insane. Insane. By the way, 3,000 American Military people have been ordered to liberia and other african countries to help out. Thats humane and proper but civilians are another matter. At a press Conference Today the cdc put this out there. After the initial unstrictions with the initial hospital with the patient. Approximately 100 individuals we needed to reach out to. That was number we put out yesterday. After reaching out to those individuals, there is now approximately 50 individuals that we need. That we feel we need to follow on a daily basis. Now, most of those individuals are at low risk. There are about 10 individuals that are at higher risk. And so we continue to watch those individuals very carefully. And thats the dallas, texas. Thats a lot of people. Talking points despises panic and irrational fear. But, thinking ahead, and taking precautions is simply responsible policy. Time and again, the Obama Administration has failed to do that right now, former secretary of defense and cia chief leon panetta saying the president could have mitigated isis if he had only thought ahead and left some troops in iraq. We will be speaking with mr. Panetta this coming tuesday. Dont miss that that will be a very big interview. Now, the ebola virus will eventually be controlled. I believe that but right now action is needed to make sure americans are protected. So lets get on it mr. President. And thats the memo. Now for the top story tonight. Reaction, joining us from washington dr. Mary schmidt who specializes in Infectious Diseases and a medical doctor who teaches at john hop medical university. Where am i going wrong here dr. Kerry. I think it sounds logical but in the context of other infections and threats, more people die of a common cold in the United States, you know, flu virus mutates from china, we dont stop flights from china. Its reasonable to limit flights from west africa. I mean, if you are going to pick up a rug from your friend larry in nigeria, this is not a good year to do it. We should only have essential personnel. I worry if we have too dramatic of a limitation we wont get the humanitarian folks in and out. Thats not going to happen because most of the humanitarian aid has gone by private charter and those things can be arranged fairly easily bay the charitable institutions that do it. Military goes on military transport. But there is no reason on earth, on this earth that right now we should be accepting anyone in this country its not protecting the public good, dr. Schmidt. Bill, thank you for having me. Could be if the manpower is available. Better screening processes in the country. There is manpower available. If you have ever taken the transatlantic or transpacific flight, you know the lines to get into this country. You both also know the incubation period. It is impossible, impossible to stop people infected with ebola from getting in here by sight. And if you are going to test everybody, the line is going to be backed up to costa rica. So lets be real here tonight go ahead. I do agree with you also. That we do have somebody who blatantly lied. I think if people will lie in order to come to the country they really want to. Of course they will. The other problem we have is transit within these countries and into other countries. We certainly stopping flights would be helpful. I do agree with you there. All right. Good. Im glad. Because we want to get something done now. Yeah. We are not inhumane here. We want america to go to africa and help these impoverished nations organize against ebola, dr. Mccarry, but we have an obligation, the federal government does to protect the folks you guys both know that panic is contagious, too. The more the government does, the less the panic will be. Or am i wrong, dr. Mccarry . We have seen mers recently from the middle east. H1n1 talked about a ton. People have this fear that a virus is going to mutate somewhere in the jungle and come through an african person to the United States. The truth is no one in the u. S. Has ever died of ebola. We shouldnt ignore it but at the same time,. Doctor, with all due respect no one in dallas, texas ever had ebola before and now they do. And now 50 people are being monitored. So et wills get real. Theoretical. You heard that crazy person on cnn saying we cant do anything about liberia because they had slavery. H, come on. Come on. Its often sensationalized. You know, there has been seven outbreaks of ebola over the last 12 years in africa. This is the most severe. We have got good tools to prevent it. Education, keeping people contained. And i think we have done a good job. When kent bradley came. Not arguing about what we have done but what we havent done is very important. Now, when you heard the report that this man, duncan in dallas was vomiting in the parking lot of his apartment building, dr. Schmidt, i mean, that sent a chill through my spine, how about you . Mine also. And i have to say i was quite relieved when i realized they pulled the kids out of school and they pulled the family into quarantine. I think its necessary. The cdc and the Public Health department using an enormous amount of resources. And if this happens two or three more times, were going to be running out of federal resources to continue the control of this infection. So i do believe that we need to address the potential for two to three other people to come here. And perhaps your suggestion of doing what other countries are doing of better screening flights of coming in is not a bad used. I hope they do it other thing is doctor i know you cant speculate is this nbc cameraman. How on earth could he have gotten that . Because i have been in these third world nations and camera people do not interact on the job, on the job with people in that proximity. So, we need to know exactly how that happened. How does duncan say that he has been to liberia and go home from the hospital . Thats another outrage. We cant depend on the west africans to protect americans thats truly insane. Doctors good discussion. We appreciate it very much. Why is the armys investigation into sergeant boberg dal taking so long . Is there something wrong . We have new information for you. Later gutfeld mcdistinguishing on the difference between illegal aliens and undocumented people. Nancy pelosi style. The factor is coming right back. Dont wait ask your doctor about spiriva handihaler. Marine corps prosecutor captain christopher opennenson and from washington former Deputy Assistant secretary of defense under president bush the younger. Begin with you, just before air time, the army who is nervous about, this gave us a statement that said the investigation is complete on Sergeant Bergdahl but being reviewed. Now, this is long overdue so what do you think is holding it up . I think whats holding it up, bill, is the fact that unlike most Court Martials where the investigation is done relatively quickly after the crime has been committed, the alleged crime has been committed, this process inserted a general, outside military criminal justice process into this to do a full and complete followup investigation before the extra road bump along the way. If you have got a general that should make things go faster. Is he a general. Lets go. Yeah, yeah. Well its an nonsleuth aye aye. Lawyers advising him. No doubt they environment viewed him and other People Associated with this case. This is one of the primary reasons for the delay. Captain i suspect there is politics involved here. Because if it comes out that Sergeant Bergdahl is a deserter and perhaps a dlab brart going to make the president look bad. Nope, thats exactly right. How long does it take to do an interview. He waited almost to the very end, literally almost an end to the 60 day period to do his interview and a two day interview. If he had other people he wanted to follow up he should have done that before he met with bergdahl. You agree with me, captain, this thing has not been expedited the way you would have done it in the marine corps . I think they are slow rolling it. This is speculation, we dont like to do that here component, mr. Simpson, correct . At the end of the day, bill, some people are going to be happy no matter what happens in this case. Separated or allowed to get out. Is he gone. Unless he gets life without parole or heavy sentence. Some people are going to say it wasnt fair. Im saying, captain, i want the truth. And i do. I want to know if bergdahl was a collaborator. I want to know if he was a deserter and i want to know if our commander and chief president obama made a bad deal for this nation. I think everybody else wants to know the same thing. I think thats right. I mean, listen, everything about this stinks from the start. They turn on a dime and let this they do the trade on a saturday, may 31st. They dont give the proper notice to the congressional hearing committees. Think said they had to it act within a window of time. Legal review. Command review. Get it done. Tell us what the results are by the way, i dont want to see any legal varnishing on the two stars report. I want to see what he wrote. What he came out and how he came out. You are absolutely right. The review process will take a couple of months. Here is how bad it is. They said that sergeant had to be released or they had to make the deal then and they couldnt go through congress or anybody else because of his health. And then he goes to germany and he is fine. Is he fine. He is fine. There is nothing wrong with him. Whole thing from the jump was, i dont know why i dont know why he did it, mr. Simpson. I dont know why the president did it i mean, look, you dont want a soldier languishing over there with the taliban. Everybody knows you dont want it but five war criminals who are about to go back to the afghan theater . I mean, thats pretty big. Yeah. And, this bill is, is where the rubber meets the road. Now that the general has got his long delayed report finished, the criminal Justice System and the military can kick into gear and my coguest and i have worked in that system. Its an efficient, fair system and hopefully they will get to ground truth here general out and out own bo bergdahl make the right call and the case will go forward. Appreciate your expertise. Directly ahead, disturbing new information from ferguson, missouri where the unrest continue its and the Police Shooting of Michael Brown remains undefined. And later, watters causing big trouble at Brown University. Ivy league. Is he is cutting into their fun up there big time. Those reports after these messages. Yeah, girl you know, ive been thinking about us and, uh, i just cant fight it anymore its bundle time bundle mm, feel those savings, baby and thats how a home and auto bundle is made. Better he learns it here than on the streets. The miracle of bundling now, thats progressive. Factor follow up segment tonight, investigation into the shooting death of Michael Brown by a Police Officer not going smoothly in ferguson, missouri. Reports are the members of the grand jury has been leaking stuff. Last night demonstrators were arrested in ferguson including journalist who did freelance work for cnn. Some of those arrested are members of a protest group called the millennials. Joining us now from st. Louis is mcgraw mill haven, radio talk show host on ktrs who is closely following the story. What are the millennials . What is this all about. Millennials are nothing more, bill, than a group of young protesters sort of loosely aligned. They are more like jihadists, he this are more like anarchists. They dont want anything. They are not protesting for anything. They are just trouble makers log for trouble. Are they from ferguson . Most of the people are are not from ferguson. Most of the prothis is important to note. Most of the protesters, most of the people who are on the ground doing the breaking of the windows and things like that they are not. But they are being led by the elected officials the people who want to cause trouble. Some of those voted into office in north county area who are looking to make trouble. Locals have organized these people in your opinion to go out. Now, i dont know what they are protesting against fbi. Justice department under holder. Local state authorities. Everybody there got a grand jury convened. Now we hear that there might be a little leaking from some idiot on the grand jury. What are they protesting in general out there. One answer they say they want Bob Mccullough off the case who it should be noted three or four days before the original shooting there was a a primary in which reelected africanamerican woman. So he has the support of the entire community. There is only a few of these anarchists who are demanding for him to step down then they just dont like him. And thats no way to run a city. So local politics are local politics. But, again, the fbi is there. The Justice Department closely watching this case. You have to let the system unfold. We all know if the Police Officer is not indicted, there is going to be trouble. Everybody knows that. Im sure the missouri authorities know it. If mr. Wilson is not indicted by the grand jury, the protesters will come back out, sharpton will run out there. And there will be riots i shouldnt say that, its irresponsible of me. I dont know whether there will be riots but there will certainly be demonstrations. Bill, i will tell you there are elected officials, lacy clay who went on National Television who said that exact same thing that if he is not indicted there will be trouble in the streets. Who is this guy who said it. Lacy clay is a United States congressman who said it on face the nation. There are open letters to Bob Mccullough from elected officials saying there will be trouble. We are watching ferguson die a slow death. They are destroying ferguson piece by piece. There are africanamerican Police Officers in ferguson who are being racially targeted. Who are being spit on, thrown at, being called uncle toms. This we have lost all sense of civility here in ferguson. And when it does finally come out
