this is "the ingraham angle." bowing to beijing. that's the focus of tonight's angle. 247 years ago today colonial patriots decided to take a stand for freedom at the boston tea party by dumping crates of british tea in the boston harbor to protest their taxation without representation. >> for we will not pay that tax! >> laura: most school children read about the boston tea party and what a dumbed down textbooks to see all those years ago about freedom without independence. life itself is meaningless. it becomes just one monotonous struggle to please an out of touch power that doesn't value your individual rights, your dreams or your worth. now, i wonder what sam adams would think of us today? are we teaching our children how hard freedom is to win? how easy it is to lose? are we doing everything in our power to call out and resist those that are eager to pair back our rights? are we frightened in complying with arbitrary edicts that we know make no sense? the covid lockdowns and rules all across this country have wreaked havoc on american families, our students and our small businesses. and my friends, that's just the start. as the angle has been warning for many months, once the globalists saw how quickly americans and frankly others around the world fell in line they weren't about to give up their power. it was time to use their new-found control to focus on global goals. everything from forcing wealth equalization to the green new deal. >> this is our chance to accelerate our prepandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that address global challenges like extreme poverty inequality and climate change. >> i see the need for action. i see the need for great reset. >> enter our new president-elect, joe biden. an empty vessel soft on china and who will do as he's told by wall street, bill gates, the who, to oversee america in transition. of course, his cabinet picks are on board with the global reset agenda. you've heard mr. schwab talking out there. pete buttigieg, his pick for transportation secretary, he wants you to pay more for everything powered by oil and gas. >> we need to be very aggressive in dealing with this through policy mechanisms like carbon pricing. the carbon tax. i know the t word is not one used in running for office but we can create a lot of jobs here. >> laura: biden knows that pete will never wake up and worry about things like oh, wait wait, will this policy make life easier or harder for the average american? >> you know, we selected pete important transportation secretary. he's got some of the most ambition plans to build back better to deal with the threat of climate change, real jobs. not just $15 an hour jobs i'm calling for universally but prevailing wages, union jobs. paying $40 and $50 in benefits. >> laura: the poor man has no idea what words he's struggling to read. $50 an hour for his new green jobs? that's not just ludicrous, it's a total lie. you think that joe is going to stop china from dominating that industry? and then just driving our jobs offshore? biden's china czar will probably help them. she's been a china boot liquor since heading the obama epa. here's what she said in 2013 while in beijing. the ccp, they hear this stuff and spend all of their meetings just laughing at these people. it's embarrassing, flaunting all over a communist regime whose entire goal is to eclipse the u.s. economically and militarily and applaud them along the way. it's unreal. mccarthy heads up the natural resources defense council, a powerful lobbying organization with long-standing ties to china. which landed them in hot water by the way, two years ago when gop congressman launched an investigation into the apparent strong ties between the nrdc and the people republic of china and the ruling communist party of china. they showed this relationship had many criteria identified by u.s. intelligence agencies and law enforcement as putting an entity at risk of being influenced or coerced by foreign interests. the nrdc openly brags that we've been collaborating with a wide range of chinese and international partners to facilitate exchanges and learning and develop innovative policy tools. great. i'm sure those reeducation camps are models of low carbon living. but maybe. maybe. we're exaggerating. the importance of mrs. mccarthy's role. or not! "the new york times" is reporting in her new position mrs. mccarthy will be empowered to direct agency heads across the federal government to enact climate policies from emissions rules at the epa to financial rigs on companies. translation, your life is going to get more expensive. and then there's climate envoy john kerry who has a lot of practice selling us out to the ccp. the south china morning post noting that john kerry is a climate czar may cool u.s. and china tensions. finally, in the role of u.s. ambassador to china, the ccp obviously prefers a mouse. it looks like they're going to get one. or at least the guy who headed up the mickey mouse disney empire, bob iger. as disney ceo, he criticized the trump administration for leaving the paris climate accord and threatened to move business out of georgia after they suggested strong pro life legislation. >> i think if it becomes law, it will be very difficult. we will -- i think many people who work for us will not want to work there. we'll have to heed their wishes in that regard. >> laura: we have to respect their wishes in that regard. what about the wishes of hong kong's anti-ccp pro freedom protesters? did iger respect them? >> we've learned how complicated this is, the situation is. i think the biggest learning from that is that caution is imperative. meaning too take a position that could harm our company in some form would be a big mistake for me to make and for us to make. >> laura: that ceo speak for we don't want to offend our communist piggy bank. georgia bad, communist good. appeasements mean profits. disney's avenger end game pulling $614 million there alone. iger around disney know what is at stake if they tick off their honey pot or their host. they actually filmed mulan in china where a million meager muslims are imprisoned. it's a neat setup that the government there got a special thanks credit in the film. well, one man in this administration other than the president and of course mike pompeo, attorney general bill barr, summed it up best. >> if disney and other american corporations continue to bow to beijing, they risk undermining their own future competitiveness and prosperity as well as the classical liberal order that has allowed them to thrive. >> laura: the past four years we've had a president in donald trump who understood what is at stake here. he understood that america is exceptional not because we're rich and we're powerful, but because we're free. if we allow ourselves to drift to global rule and global control, we're betraying the struggle for liberty that began in boston harbor in december 16 1773. i was thinking about this a lot. i was getting ready for the show tonight. thinking about the historic nature of this day. i thought, when the time comes will we stand up for freedom as samuel adams and fellow patriots did even if it means we're vilified by the elites here or around the world or be like biden's you and bow to tyranny for a buck or should i saw wan? that's the angle. joining me, steve malloy, former trump transition team. steve, simple question. as it looks now, will the ccp be running our climate and energy policies under joe biden? >> well, great angle, laura. i think, you know, gina mccarthy, the harvard school of public health is funded by the school of public health for $350 million. since then, they've been putting out all of this anti-american science that they use against the trump administration. so you know, china is running a huge influence operation. as we have seen the last coupledation with the eric swalwell. it gets more serious because you have gina mccarthy and other environmental groups. a couple years ago, congress was investigating whether china is funding these groups to basically wreck america through their advocacy for regulation especially climate regulation. climate as president trump pointed out has nothing to do with the environment, has nothing to do with the climate. it's about ensnaring the american economy in onus regulation that will make us less competitive versus europe but will help china meet its goal of being the lone super power by 2049. >> laura: gina mccarthy has been a really -- a supplicant of china now. here's what she said in 2013. >> i know the types of technologies that u.s. companies produce that i'm going to be looking at in china that they are now using to monitor air quality in beijing. that is a building block for china that will get them moving forward in leaps and bounds which is frankly what needs to be done and done quickly. >> laura: steve, as she delivered this speech, the epa which she headed was imposing crushing regulations on our own industries. >> that's right. just -- china's air is as filthy as ever. when she was in the obama administration, she killed the coal industry. hundreds of thousands of others support jobs. she killed coal communities coal pension plans, wiped out 95% of the coal industries. she put the taxpayers on the hook for coal pensions. she did a great job on the coal industry. and now biden, they're coming after the fracking industry. that is what china wants. china wants to cripple us by having joe biden ban fracking or otherwise try to kill off fracking. >> laura: "the washington post" had to admit that u.s. emissions plummeted contrary to what we would be led to think by people in the nrdc land, the national resources defense council land. some of that is probably to deal with the pandemic where we lost an enormous amount of productivity. the idea that you can't be a conservative and want to conserve the best of america and be environmentally conscious is ludicrous. we've demonstrated that you can do this. >> for sure. the united states is the only industrial country that has really reduced emissions if that's what you're interested in. i'm not worried about it. we have reduced emissions and thanks to fracking. guess what? joe biden wants to ban fracking. how does that make sense? it doesn't. conservatives get a bad wrap. i breathe the same air and everybody else. i want a clean environment. that's not what this is about. president trump said, this has nothing to do with the environment. it has everything to do with ensnaring our economy and wrecking our economy to china's benefit. >> laura: the great reset is upon us. thanks, steve. and while biden outsources our freedoms to china, he's going to let the medical cartel eviscerate your personal liberty here at home. remember all of those warnings about traveling during thanksgiving and getting together with friends and family? >> clearly americans are having difficulty unlearning the traditions of thanksgiving. wear a mask. i'd suggest a face shield. >> gatherings of more than ten people are where we have founded this virus spreads. >> the chances are that you will see a surge superimposed upon a surge. >> laura: i guess they didn't celebrate in the midwest and great plains because cases in those regions are plummeting. of course they celebrated. these predictions often don't come to pass. keep that in mind when you hear warnings like this. >> it's the dinners, the christmas parties that are spreading this virus. >> we have a thanksgiving surge and then a christmas surge on top of that. >> i fear based on what we're seeing with estimates of who will be traveling for christmas that we'll see the same thing all over again except now it will be a surge upon a surge. >> laura: of course, act cautiously but christmas is meant to be spent with your family. not isolated in lock downs. joining me, dr. scott atlas. hoover institution senior fellow. dr. atlas, when will there be any acknowledgement from these folks that you can't lock down the natural cycle of this virus and the predictions invariably turn out to be in this case we are thankful wrong, at least at the upper northwest, upper midwest, excuse me, is any indication of it? >> well, thanks for having me laura. i'm not sure that i can answer the question directly. what we do know is we should be looking at the data. i mean, i don't understand why the facts are ignored repeatedly over and over and over again. as you said, the cases came down in the midwest and the near west. yes, they went up in california west coast and parts of the east coast because they were going up before thanksgiving and they kept going because there's a typical cycle that we see all over the world now. we're almost a year into this. there's roughly eight week or so cycle. cases came down in the midwest as expected. by the way, the cases came down in south dakota just like they did and maybe even more so than they did in places with heavy lockdowns like illinois. so we know from all over the world the lockdowns do not cure the virus. they do not prevent the virus. they do not stop the virus. when will they acknowledge that? probably never. because what is ironic of all all of these people that are trying to blame people for deaths and hospitalizations we're doing the policies that they want. we've been doing them the entire time. almost every single state in the country aside from probably south dakota and florida have been using the business lockdowns, the school closures the restrictions on groups 80 to 90% plus the people have been wearing masks. 2/3s or 3/4s of the states have mask mandates. the policies are somehow not working to their satisfaction. they are the ones, the advocates of the lockdowns who have the policies that they wanted. when do they look at that? are we not in a world where the facts matter? >> laura: you know what i don't understand, dr. atlas? they're forever praising other countries efforts to curb the virus. but then when those facts don't go their way as we're seeing in south korea, as we saw in germany, in all across europe frankly where the virus surged post masking, post long lockdowns, social distancing they get the virus. it surges back. oh, we want to reexamine what we said. they never do. they go on to the next scare tactic that we see on television. today the l.a. county public health director felt compelled to shame people for actually enjoying the holiday. >> please use today to cancel holiday plans that involve travel or gathering with friends and family. we have learned a hard and painful lesson for our actions over thanksgiving. please, let's not repeat the same mistakes. >> laura: if she's concerned about repeating mistakes, why don't they reopen the schools and the restaurants for outdoor dining at least? >> yes. these same experts keep talking about the vaccines. not to change the subject but these are the people that undermine the confidence of americans in the vaccines and said they would never be developed. call people like the president as well as myself liars for putting forth the timelines. the timelines were met and now they're clamoring to tell people who should get the vaccines. in some cases, trying to take credit for the vaccines. so the world is topsy-turvy. the country is off the rails. i'm not sure i see an end in sight here. >> laura: no. they're going to keep us locked down until we say no, you're not. literally they'll keep us locked down with the rules because it's working for them. it's working for their notoriety, television gigs. i don't know. the great reset. this is not ending. people have to understand that. you're not going to get your freedom back until you demand it. i have to get your response. the fda tweeted this. they're aware of reports of anaphalytic reaction. your thoughts. >> everything you ingest has certain side effects. don't forget, 70,000 plus people have the two vaccines that are moderna's and pfizer's. there's no significant reactions. doesn't shock me there's a single reaction. i think we have to have some perspective here. let's make sure that we understand the risk of a vaccine versus the risk of dying. certainly for people in the high risk group, i think most people would recommend the high risk group, seniors particularly take the vaccine although in my world, it's still people's choice. >> laura: dr. atlas, great to see you. if i don't see you, have a great christmas. >> you too. >> laura: four weeks ago, we told you about an effort to recall california governor newsome. tonight we have an update open how that picked up serious steam. stay there. . it's moving day. and while her friends are doing the heavy lifting, jess is busy moving her xfinity internet and tv services. it only takes about a minute. wait, a minute? but what have you been doing for the last two hours? delegating? oh, good one. move your xfinity services without breaking a sweat. now that's simple, easy, awesome. xfinity makes moving easy. go online to transfer your services in about a minute. get started today. >> laura: four weeks ago, we told you about the effort to recall governor newsome in california over his covid reign of terror. since we aired that segment whai seemed to be a long shot has grown into a formidable movement that has half the signatures that they need for a recall. newsome has imposed the strictest lock downs in the nation, one that has done nothing to slow the spread of covid. now residences are fleeing the stay. even elon musk left the state t go to texas. anti-cop blm acolytes take control for a rising crime rate. joining me now, someone leading that effort, california state senator alisa melendez. how realistic is this push to recall newsome? >> well, laura, good to see you. thanks for having me on. a very realistic effort. this is not a joke.a, people are mobilized. we have over half the signatures that we will need. we have until roughly march 15 to get all of them in and we're going to get this done.il he's been a disaster and we are tired of it. >> laura: i'm surprised frankly, that there haven't been more anti-newsome uprisings in the state. i mean, there's been some here and there. we've covered them on the angle. but given the fact that you have a state with incredibly beautiful weather, people can be outside and enjoying the fresh air and yet it seems like everywhere you turn, there's someone hackling a law abiding person or welcoming in an illegal alien who himself might be infected with covid. i don't know how anybody can think this is going well. >> most sane people don't think this is going well, especially when you have a governor and his democrat colleagues that tell you don't go gather with your family, don't go to stores don't do this, don't do that. what happens? they do the exact opposite. people are seeing him for the hypocrite that he is. we're tired of it. this is democrats, too. this is not just a republican issue.that i cannot tell you how manyub democrats will write to me and say please, stop this man. he's ruining our state. now we find out he's planning on keeping our state in lock down for a year. o he said we're going to stay in lockdown until at least nfebruary, february. >> laura: it's not going to open up in february. you're crazy. they're going to keep this thing going as long as they can. governor newsome was asked senator, about this recall effort. he quickly pivoted. >> people understandably a frustrated by the closures in california. can you speak about the recall newsome movement that is making headlines? t >> the opportunity to end the closures present itself aknew today. as soon as we extinguish this virus, as soon as the virus is eliminated and the pandemic is behind us, the state will recover, more resilient, more vibrant than ever.usil >> laura: you think he's nervou there? senator? >> yeah, i think he's very nervous. t notice he didn't answer the question. he can concerned about it.he we've heard from the people in his team that he's worried about this as he should be. he just did a press conference a few days ago where he was all doom and gloom and told the media how he had to order more body bags for california because of the deaths related to covid. i'm thinking why don't you talk about the number of people that have recovered from covid? talk about the body bags that you'll have to put the small businesses because he shut down the state?'r we're tired of it. it's not a partisan issue. i think he's in for a very big surprise. a >> laura: senator melendez, i think he and cuomo both think that they have chance for theth presidency some day. they're totally delusional. they think they can be president of the united states. people will go thank you for destroying my business, thank you for putting my children back years in their educational process. thank you for the mental illness that you're causing the state. it's insanity. senator, great to see you. merry christmas. tpr the news is good that a majority of americans will have a way of getting rid of governors that are incompetent. 38 out of 50 states accounting for nearly 85% of the population will hold gubernatorial elections in the next two years. newsome is not the only governor facing backlash for the lockdowns. here to tell us his top three covid tire rants poised for takedowns is mike huckabee former arkansas governor. let's start with the person at the top of your naughty list andrew cuomo. >> when he's not busy getting his emmy award or writing a book about what a great leadership job he's done, he's making stupid decisions that killed a lot of people in the nursing homes and shut a lot of businesses down and turned new york down into a ghost state and new york city in a ghost town. i don't know why he's congratulating himself so much. a lot of people in new york may have finally started to realize that the leadership that they have in the governor's office is destroying their state and it taking away their ability to live their lives as free americans. >> laura: he sounded more like a mob boss, governor, than the governor of the empire state talking to restaurant owners this week. watch. >> let's focus on what the real issues that why should be concerned about. you should be happy because if we tonight change the trajectory, we're going to shut down and then your business will close. and that, my friends, is a real problem. worry about that. >> laura: have you ever heard anyone more out of touch than he? you should be happy with the crumbs that we're occasionally throwing your way. >> you any, tyranny is a terrible master.ma andrew cuomo has mastered the art of being a tyrant. you can't say it any other way. the sad fact is, these are people so out of touch. let's remember something. they all still get their paychecks unlike the people that run businesses like gyms restaurant, service industry people that lost their jobs and will never see them again. they don't get paid. who does? andrew cuomo. i have said many times, i say it again, government officials that issue mandates that cause people to lose their paychecks, those government officials should not be paid until they can open up the economy that they shut down. >> laura: we'll get you next. a minute left. michigan's with itless whitmire. she took a break from her: economy to teach kids about a covid christmas. >> do you have any questions for santa claus? >> santa, do you you have to wear a mask? >> i'm in workshop and we're alo masked and social distancing. >> that was a good suggestion. another way to stay safe during the holiday is to stay home, but call your grandparents and your cousins and your family -- >> laura: i thought this was halloween. the greatest gift she could give residents is her resignation. >> i couldn't agree more. a lot of these people that get elected to be governor forget something. that they work for the people. the people don't work for them. their job is to figure out how to make life better for their citizens, not make it harder. every one of them have forgotten reason 1 you run for public office. it's to be a servant of the people.fie you're not the boss of anybody. you're the servant of everybody. these are folks that have forgotten that and i hope the voters will just give them a wonderful reminder of that by sending them home in the next election. >> laura: governor, what was your third choice? was it j.b.prisker? >> either him or tony evers of wisconsin.it the way he handled kenosha during the summer, deplorable. absolutely abominable. >> laura: a lot of choices for this naughty list. it could be longer than the good list if we want to have fun with this. governor, have a great christmas. and a member of the biden family takes up a new hobby. raymond arroyo explains in seen and unseen next. f the biden famy takes up a new hobby. >> laura: it's time for our seen and unseen segment where we reveal the stories behind the headlines. joining us now, raymond arroyo. biden campaign in atlanta theto other day on behalf of those senatorial candidates. so what happened? >> laura, his pitch was so gloomy and angry at times. it felt like mr. biden was playing scrooge in a cut rate christmas carol on the freeway. >> you ready to vote to two senator that know how to say yes? putting food on the table is a task for me. send me these two men and we will control the senate and change the lives of the people in georgia. >> i bet he will change those lives. >> laura: i'll bet. >> not necessarily for the better but their lives will change. the spirit told ebenezer, ifif these shadows remain unaltered by the future, biden may forget that he's there to campaign for warnock and ossoff. >> honk for your next united states senator jon ossoff. >> we all make mistakes. at least he didn't call him oloff. he introduced his next transportation secretary, pete buttigieg and his spouse. >> chastin has become a close friend of jill and mine. >> so close, biden nicknamed him kristin. you say kristin, i say orsoff. that's how it goes sometimes. >> laura: raymond, if this was every now and then, that's fines but this is every day. okay? >> and pete buttigieg, a smart guy, he says he's qualified toto be the transportation to cabinet secretary because he has a personal love of transportation and he proposed to his husband in an airport. well, i mean -- >> laura: are you kidding? >> does that mean i can be secretary treasury? i love money. >> laura: i thought you said he loves playing with the christmas train around the tree as a kid. i love trains. speaking of time biden, a family member under investigation by the feds is embarking on a new career. hunter biden, artist. vanity fair reporting that the venture capitalist turned artist whose studio is in his hollywood hills home creates with a met stall straw. he blows alcohol ink on japanese paper. fascinating. your reaction. >> hunter is having his first gallery show of is psychedelic flower works next year. do it yourself rorschach tests. here's the problem. hunter biden used this art to help his addiction. that's wonderful. >> sean: my problem is, once again, hunter biden is using his family name to move ahead, make money and gain a platform. that is a problem here. this guy should be laying low. he shouldn't be out advertising his little flower works. you know, it's a little bit laura, like george w. bush. there's some art that you should just keep to yourself. i'm glad you're doing it, but we don't need to see it. >> laura: it's quite personally and intimate. only needs to be shared with immediate family. >> it's art to nurture you, feed you. >> laura: i thought the lowerws third on the screen was hunter biden blows ink. when i heard that, blows ink you called him biden hunter earlier. >> did i?? >> laura: yeah. c >> did i call him biden hunter? >> that's what tommy said. >> maybe i've been sipping the alcohol ink. >> laura: inhaling that. >> inhaling, not blowing. i'm going to try that. i'll submit my art next week. >> laura: raymond, we're going to have friday, we're going to have a confession by me about one of our longstanding debates that we've had annually on radio and now on tv. i have a confession to make on friday. that's all i'm going to say to you. >> and preview the big fox nation christmas special. i'll have a exclusive clip. you'll live it. >> laura: awesome. great to see you. former president obama attempte. to delegitimize the entire republican party in a recent interview.w. what was he really trying to say? we'll show you the clip and dinesh d'souza reacts next. we'll show you the clip and >> laura: former president barack obama has not finished running the media circuit. after all, he has a book to promote. his latest is with trevor noah and "the daily show." here to break it down, dinesh d'souza, film maker and commentator. i want to start with this comment. >> the republican party is the minority party in this country. the only reason that it doesn't look like there's a minority party is because of structures like the u.s. senate and the electoral college that don't render them the majority party. the truth of the matter is, 60% of the people are occupying what i would consider a moree60 reality-based universe. a >> laura: dinesh, how condescending was he about the structure known as the senate and the electoral college? it's painful to listen to him. >> yeah, i think with obamama he's outright duplicity or imply duplicity. it's a matter of figuring out which one it is. the republicans have had the presidency 24 out of 48 years. dominated both houses of congress and populated the supreme court with more nominees than the democrats have. so in the game of american politics, you have to sayhe republicans have the edge. what obama is saying is that democrats continue to enjoy a majority in the popular vote but that's like saying that you know, we're going to measure a tennis match but not who won the most sets but who won the most overall points. obama can do his own calculus but the parties are very close. the republicans have been the majority party. >> laura: he also attempted to clarify, no shock here, his pas> remarks on defunding the police. >> there's two or three writers that i admire that i wrote obama is making an omission to chastise black lives matter. hold on. i just spent the whole summer complimenting them. can we be precise with our language enough that people that might be persuaded around that t particular issue to make a particular change, to get the particular result we want. >> laura: love me, progressives. love me. he's shocked when everyone doesn't throw roses at his feet. >> i think the essence of obama's remarks here is not defunding the police is a bad idea. in fact, he doesn't think it's a bad idea. he thinks it's a bad idea to talk about it before the election.erernk so this is that implied duplicity. obama is basically saying it's bad marketing to tell people that you want to defund their cops. that's really what -- that's the meaning of what he's saying. he thinks it's bad positioning. think about doing it after the election but don't say it beforehand. >> laura: by the way, jon ossoff, inspired by the president, said he wants ice agents now to start doing this. >> when federal agents arrive at one of these farms, it should be to make sure people are beingur paid the minimum wage. we should have gratitude for those that keep us fed. >> laura: so dinesh, quick reaction. >> at a time when american workers are suffering terribly under covid restrictions, job losses, small businesses being closed, not to mention a 40-year erosion of jobs in the united states, to be talking about minimum wage for illegals, this just shows where the democratic party's commitments are. not to american workers. ultimately to trying to figure out a way to import more votes from outside the country. >> laura: china and illegal aliens first and american workers last. dinesh, great to see you tonight. have a great christmas. speaking of obama, he was top of mind for a cnn reporter when discussing the next president. the last bite explains it.t. .. >> cnn had a hard type wrapping its head around the idea of a biden presidency. >> give us the latest developments. >> president-elect joe biden did finish speaking here just a short time ago. >> joe-bama. that's actually pretty catchy. when you think about it, can you really blame him? >> during the obama-biden -- >> president obama and i. >> obama and i. >> laura: that was kind of a constant during the campaign. that's all the time we have tonight. take it from here. shannon? take it away. >> tonight shannon: we may hand out some new nicknames. thank you for that. breaking this error the intelligence apparatus of the united states officially acknowledging, quote, a significant and ongoing cyber attack. the coordinated malware campaign suspected to have originated in russia is believed to have started hacking sensitive us government networks as early as march. we
