girl who spent hours wondering whether she was about to explode. >> it is all very surreal. >> shepard: tonight, the victim of the collar bomb hoax speaks to reporters. >> but first from fox this wednesday night the stunning plan for a mass murder at a high school. cops in tampa say they have stopped the 17-year-old from carrying out an explosive attack that they believe would have left dozens dead. administrators say they expelled the student from freedom high school last year. and the tampa police chief says he was planning to plant bombs at that school on the very first day of class next week. >> we were probably able to thwart a potentially catastrophic event, the likes of which in the city of tampa has not seen and hopefully never will. >> shepard: a picture of the suspect. we're blurring his face and not saying his name because police haven't charged him as an adult. is he a minor. cops say somebody tipped them off about the teen's plot just yesterday. they say when they searched his home, they found all the ingredients needed for the bombs. timers, shrapnel, fuses. and that's not all they discovered. >> they, indeed, found a manifesto that outlined minute by minute what his actions were going to be on the first day of school. to include detonating explosive devices through the school. there were two individual faculty members that were specific targets. >> shepard: investigators say he also intended to kill roughly 30 students. and they say he specifically mentioned wanting more casualties than we all saw in the 1990s attacks on the littleton, colorado high school. that left 13 innocents dead. this suspect had quite a history. >> absolutely, shep. quite a history. he has been arrested, at least two times before. once for breaking into a house and stealing a gun. that got him kicked out of school, expelled. the other arrest had to breaking into cars it got so bad that police put him on curfew where they actually go to his neighborhood and essentially tuck him in at night to make sure that he is not up to any good. of course, that is d. not pay off the way all of this unfolded. if you look into his online history, that's quite telling, too. his facebook page is just covered in drug and alcohol references. and several quotes. one of the most recent quotes was just made yesterday and it's basically saying the jig is up. you can't believe just what happened. he was arrested that same day. >> shepard: jeremy, can i only imagine what people at that school are saying about all of this. >> actually, i just talked to a good friend of his. she said that it's so surprising, it's so shocking and the thing that makes it even more alerting to her is just a couple of weeks ago, he was talking about columbine with her. at the time she didn't think anything of it but now given the current circumstances she is putting two and two together. it's quite alarming. she described him as the type of guy that is quiet and really feels things deeply. she said that he seems to feel things more than other people feel. so, right now people are feeling pretty scared of what could have gone wrong at his hand. shep? >> shepard: jeremy campbell live at our tampa affiliate. fox 13. thanks. the suspect of an accused death of platinum blonde in america apparently had a 1.5-million-dollar motive. the 50-year-old suspect purchased a high priced accidental death policy before taking this woman robin carter to the caribbean. he chose the one year option instead of the cheaper five year plan. is he apparently the been fiduciary. the suspect met the blond on match.com. he claims she vanished while they were snorkeling in calm watters. investigators say she is likely dead. this happened not far from where natalee holloway went missing six years ago. he has a history of domestic violence complaints. investigators say his story does not add up. on monday, the judge ruled there is enough evidence to hold him in custody for another 16 days. his attorney says prosecutors have no proof of any crime. and that the client is cooperating and has cooperated with the investigation all along. our correspondent steve harrigan working this from south florida tonight. where does the search for robyn gardner stand now? >> shepard, the focus of the search after two weeks missing is really on a small southern tip of the island of aruba. they are really trying to work within a gap of about two hours between when gardner was last seen at a dive shop with her companion and when she was reported missing. they are trying to figure out how far that body could have gone. they have already used planes, helicopters, divers, coast guards, and a shore search. so far that's turned up nothing. a search of the rental car has also turned up nothing. the next step, a major push towards the end of this week. they are going to use police, perhaps military, as well as fbi agents to try to turn up something. there are reports that there was blood on the rocks in the area where they did go snorkeling. but so far aruban officials neither confirming or denying whether that's accurate. shepard?
