it is not the same as calling somebody fat or saying, you know, the typical political insults. this is a new level. so how do you overcome that? >> dana: i think part of it is that sometimes it comes from the top, right? the forgiveness comes from the top because in years past, you might of had not the candidate themselves saying those things, but their supporters. in this case, you actually have the leaders themselves saying things like this as you saw. i think that hillary clinton example is a very, very good one. she's not just bitter about 2016, you know 2016. she carried that all the way through. i was looking at the montage, the date, 2019 and trump knows he's an illegitimate president as if that was so important to her to make sure that that laid the groundwork. i think that is all -- i think it is fair. i think it is absolutely fair for republicans at this point to say, did do what you did these last four years. the one thing i do wonder is collectively as a country, what is the redline for us? where do we draw the line? and i don't know the answer to that. i hope that we can pull together in some way this loss was so narrow. so narrow. i think i mentioned to you yesterday that 24,500 georgian republicans voted in the primary and did not vote in the general election. had they done that, this outcome might have been very different. just so narrow. what president trump accomplished in these four years, as you said, so eloquently that it was like packing 1 12 years into four. republicans had a lot to be proud of, and they have a road map for success in the future. you cannot win collections with your base alone. you have to build a coalition. what president trump was able to do this time was grab more hispanics, more blacks, but one of the things joe biden did is he got a lot of the new voters, the newly registered voters. more than president trump. so i think going forward, there is a way for all of us to do that, but it is going to take a little bit of time to swallow some of these bitter pills. >> greg: trump's presidency, the way you frame it reminds me how my wife packs for a vacation. like she can get four suitcases worth of stuff into one suitcase. that is what trump did for 2016. it is a skill. jesse come as much as i find what the democrats have done to undermine democracy to be terrible, i don't want to be like them. i don't want to get the biden version of trump the arrangement, you know what i'm saying?
